So what do you think?
Henry usually has 6-7, 5oz bottles a day, and eats every 2-3 hrs until he sleeps at night. So that's a total of about 30-35 oz a day. If he doesn't get that amount during the day, we find he doesn't sleep thru the night.
It's been 12 hrs since the start of our day and he's only had 3 bottles. The first 2 bottles were close together. The 3rd was like 3 hrs later and he only drank 4 oz of it.
He's been struggling alot lately with his feedings so I bought him a faster flowing nipple. I go to feed him around his normal time because he seemed fussy but he only took 1oz. He slept for awhile and I tried again like an hr and 1/2 later. Still he only took another oz.
This isn't normal for him. Yesterday he ate every 2 hrs all day long (he was with my stepmom). He's had 4 wet diapers so far and he hasn't pooped yet today but he's usually at least once a day, yesterday was twice. No fever.
But every dang time I go to feed him he drinks very little or nothing at all and falls asleep. I talk to him, undress him, and walk around to wake him up but it doesn't work like it usually does. Ed's been gone since Friday afternoon and I'm starting to get very frustrated! I'm exhausted doing everything myself and this eating business is just making me cry.

His pattern could be changing up. Kieran now nurses every 2-4hours instead of every 1-3hours. The older the get the less frequently they eat. She only wets 6-8diapers a day and 1poo(sometimes more but shes BF).
Is it hot where you are? Sometimes the hot weather can make them too hot to eat(even Seamus still gets this way)

I agree, sounds like a growth spurt/pattern change. I remember both of my kids had thoes days where they were just flat out not hungry! As long as he's peeing and not acting fussy, Id say hes fine!
Another thing too, are you waking him up to feed during the day? let him sleep if so

At least once a day I have to. I never let him sleep longer than 2 hrs at a time. Ever since I starting monitoring his naps, he's slept thru the night.

It may not be a growth spurt but more of a change in patterns. Some babies will eat less but more when they do, some will eat often (and less when they do), some will poo once a day, once every few days, once a week, etc.

Exactly what Justine said! He is growing up and changing his routine! As long as he has normal pee-pee diapers and isn't acting fussy or is feverish, all is well! From what I have been told and read, there are SEVERAL growth spurts furing the first couple of months, but then the spurts space out more, and eating habits become different.

Brayden did that too and my mom told me: "do you eat the same amount every day or do you sometimes have days where you eat less than others...." Made sense at the time. he STILL does that. He went for about 4 days eating nothing after 4pm and today has been a piggy!

Don't fret, sweetie, it's normal. But it's also normal to get worried when they start acting "different." Josh has had a couple of days where he ate less and slept more, too.
