So... my baby boy is officially "half-baked!" He is measuring a week ahead (21w2d). He weighs 15 ounces now - just short of a whole pound! Heartbeat was at 152 bpm. Everything checked out fine, he was moving around quite a bit. They took blood for the AFP test to screen for neural tube defects, since that is the one thing they can't test for with a CVS.
I did NOT meet with the OB I've been having problems with. My appointment today was with the certified nurse midwife - who I adore! She's so much nicer, more relaxed, takes more time with us, and overall puts me at ease a lot more than my OB does. I explained to her about why I'm not taking the Lovenox right now, and she understood. She wrote me a script to get another fasting draw for homocysteine as I have agreed to keep on checking it throughout the pregnancy. Not only this CNM, but the other midwife and the PA have all been easy to deal with. I have decided to stick with this practice and cross my fingers that I get one of the other practitioners at my birth rather than the OB herself. If I do get the OB, I'll just have to do my best to stick with my birth plan and have Eric there to attack dog... I mean advocate for me.
ALSO - we went over to the L&D floor to check it out. I was impressed with it, all the rooms are private and you stay in one room the entire time. There are a couple of rooms with hydrotherapy tubs as well. All the staff we saw there were very nice and helpful. We ended up signing up for the official tour in 2 weeks so I'm looking forward to that. Now to see if there are any birthing classes I might be interested in...
Alright, here are a couple of new pictures of my baby boy! I don't know why or how he is so... ROUND. He looks like a basketball with a skull on top! Time to lay off the ice cream, eh?

Aww he IS super round! How ADORABLE! I picture him all squishy and cuddly! 
Glad you like the other people at your practice... and that's awesome about the tubs in the birthign rooms! I'd love one of those!
