How long after you stopped bcp did you get a normal AF?
I stopped my bcp early (on Monday, was supposed to go until Saturday) and AF usually (on bcp) comes next Tuesday. Well, I got AF today (yah!). I thought that was pretty quick, which I am not complaining. Since AF has obviously not been affected negatively by going off bcp, do you guys think I will O like I should?
Also, when I O what will my temps do? I havent purchased a bbt yet, but I thought I had time. I temped when I got up (the thermo wasnt in the room) and recorded it, but right now, it doesn't mean much to me.
Sorry for all the questions, but thanks!

If you are on the 21 day pill/7 day break, your AF would come when you stop the pill regardless of it being early or on time cos the pill controls your "AF".

you might find the next few cycles a bit wacky. i was very lucky and had AF regularly when i stopped.

Fiona-I must have confused myself when I asked that question, sorry. I knew you would get AF right after you stop your last pack, I guess I meant the cycle after. Thanks for the insight, I hope I am as fortunate as you.

You need a bbt because you need the .xx degree, so make sure to pick one of those up. Mine came from walmart for like 7 bucks or something. Also, the temp is only valid if you take it after a consecutive three hours of sleep and before talking/moving/drinking/doing ANYTHING. You literally have to reach over to your nightstand and pop it in your mouth while you're basically asleep. So if you had to get up and find a thermometor, it's not accurate. It's not a big deal since you're on CD1 but if you want an accurate chart then you can't do it that way. I recommend picking up Taking Charge of Your Ferility... it explains a lot. Also, go through the 20 day FF online course.

Way back when when I came off bcp my periods were normal but idk if I was Oing b/c I wasn't charting then. You may go right back to normal or it may be 3-4 months.

Yea, I am going to go the library this weekend and look for the TCOYF. Ok, I didn't realize getting up before temping made THAT big of a difference, thanks!

I was on BCP for years...almost 10. With breaks here and there.

When I came off for good, my cycles were a bit wacky. Not sure about Oing since I didnt temp. But I will say my avg cycle before the pill was 26-28 days. My first cycle off it was 38 days! (I thought I was preggo for sure, eventhough we used protection). Next cycle was about 35 days, the next 31....then after that they were back to my norm 26-28 days.

Well I wasn't charting at the time but I came off my pill in the middle of my pack in January. I got my AF soon after but on time. I then had a regular 28 day cycle like normal. That AF came and went and then I got pregnant the next cycle.

With Curtis, I must have skipped a pill or took it at the wrong time cause no pill stopped him from being conceived. He's a stubborn guy to this day! hahaha.

I wasn't on the pill, but I had the implant (implanon), which uses similar hormones. I had spotting 3 days after it was removed, but then did not get a proper AF for about 45 days. After that mine cycles were more regular but remained long (prior to bc I had short cycles). My average cycle lengths were between 33-40 days long, but charting helped me to confirm I was indeed Oing and I did conceive with these long cycles.

I was on BCP with breaks for about 13 yrs. My cycles stayed the same when I came off...not sure if I O'd or not right away because I wasn't temping or charting (or anything LOL).
