Someone in my DDC shared this awesome link. You put in your baby name and it'll tell you more info about it. If you click on the second tab on the topish area where it says "Considering this name" it'll tell you what other people with that same name voted on if they liked being named that, etc. but the best part is at the bottom they share any nick names they were called or bullied as as children.
I thought it was really interesting.

Cait, like I said, Connor is our boy name, and I always think of "Con man" or "Convict". Do you have nn's for Conner? I almost want to do Connor John {huge family name} instead of Connor Michael so we can call him C.J.!
ETA: Gabriella, our girl name was very well recommended, but people complained about being called Gabby. We HATE Gabby. We like Bree or Ella! Do you think people would assume she would be OK with Gabby?

The only thing it said about Oliver and bullying was the "Oliver Twist" movie. That isn't a big deal to me. I hope it's not to him. I always think of the Oliver Twist movie fondly.

I saw that in your DDC (of COURSE I stalk there) and went there earlier-- my names are all so Irish/Gaelic that they really have no bullying names or they are of course Twilight so they will be made fun of anyways so trying to come up with another reason to hate Renesmee or Jasper will probably run second to a Twilight joke

Leo has a very low tease/nickname rate, but of the ones that were on the list I use two of them
Leo the Lion
and Leo Peo (on there it was Leo the Peo)

The only people who were made fun of with the name Landen were girls. That's a cool site. I'm going to look up my own name now LOL!

Conner's middle name is Thomas so if we really wanted to we could call him CT but for the most part...we call him "Baby" It's so bad but it just kind of stuck...we're trying really hard to start using his real name. Maybe another nickname will come to mind when he gets older but for now its just Conner.
Also, if you call her Bree or Ella on an almost constant basis, she will probably introduce herself as that and people will just know to call her that.

I am definitely bookmarking that site. I'm glad to see my girl name choice is not teased and under-used! I'll have to use it to find a boy name... I still have no clue about a boy name.

"Shameless", "Shameful", Shamo, Shamu., Shey Moose, and of course Seamen. Already knew them when we named him though
I call him Shaymoose and Shaymee and Shaymo all the time
Most were boys saying it was too feminine and they didn't like having a name that sounded like a girls name for Kieran's a couple said it reminds them of "queer-an" and then people pronouncing it like Karen.

Some of the bullying is kind of funny to me, lol. Elsa has the whole Elsie the cow thing, but that's really it. And Sienna, of course, it's the name of a car. But it's not a huge deal to me, and I am hoping my girls will be just like me, and tell them where to go if they start making fun of their names. I already know Elsa will!

I knew Henrietta is a biggie, but there are better ones haha
We were well aware "stanky Hanky," "Hanky panky," and "Spank the Hank" When we chose Hank as a nickname We also call him "Hungry, hungry, Henry" and "King Henry."
"Oh Henry" -Hello, we think that's awesome! haha remember we used candy bars instead of cigars when he was born. Whenever he won't settle down cause he's cranky or he makes a messy poop I say this.

Most of Matthew's are making fun of "Matt" like door mat, or fat Matt. Which isn't a huge deal, we aren't calling him Matt. Of course I know some ppl may anyway, just like ppl call my Dh Dave instead of David, even though he goes by David. In high school we called him Slavid and I've called him Davey Baby. LOL
Any name is going to have some kind of nickname, so as long as it's not something too horrible....
Oh and some ppl complained that Matthew was too common of a name.

Cool site....I think I ran across it when I was researching names.....I put all of my kids names in and all are very safe names in terms of bullying and mistaken spelling/pronounciation. YEAH!
