So most of you guys know our 6 pounds chihuahua/maltese mix is my BABY. His third birthday is July 31st and I'll be in Dallas w/ Lauren & Michelle. Now, I realize this is a dog and he doesn't know when his birthday is but I can't help but feel guilty! Isn't that just RIDICULOUS?! I'm all pregnant and hormonal and really think at some point I might actually shed tears about this. For his first birthday we threw him a big party. We made up and mailed invitations (including one to the president ) and I made cupcakes for the humans and doggy treats for the dog friends we invited. People brought gifts... seriously. My cousin gifted Rilo her beta fish she didn't want anymore... which he named Peanut.. and we STILL have her... I can't believe she's still alive. haha. Anyway, because this is just insanely hilarious that I'm kind dof upset over this I figured i'd share some of the pictures from his first birthday party two years ago. My baby is all grown up! haha
My step-dad Bob, who Rilo calls 'GrandBob" haha
My mom w/ Rilo
his hat falling offf
here's the human funfetti ccupcakes... the little bags behind it are the goody bags w/ homemade dog treats for the doggy guests. and some of Rilo's gift bags.
Yes, people sang to him... and here he is blowing out his candle
This is when he got the fish, Peanut, from my cousin
So yeah... seriously. We're THOSE people. I can't deny it. It's pretty bad. and I really am feeling kind of bad about not being here for his birthday, even though we wouldn't do anything besides like a longer walk and a special treat or something. haha.
And while I'm at it w/ photo overload... here's some pics of him over the last three years!
his first tattoo...
This was the picture we put on his birthday invitations since it looks like he's smiling
ANYWAYYYYY... we're lame. I wouldn't change it though.

That is so lame that it's awesome LOL... I would totally come to Rilo's birthday party AND bring my dog and a gift. He looked so cute in his birthday hat, although in half the pictures the look on his face is like, what the hell is going on?!
Also I love "Grand-Bob" and my parents call my dog their "grandpuppy." I hope they don't stop with all that after they have a real grandkid.

Aw you guys brought a big smile to my face for not making fun of us! haha. My dogs are regularly 'puppy-sat' too. It always scares me when people say they didn't love or want their pets anymore once their baby was there b/c I just can't imagine ever feeling that way. But then, the people who felt that way after they had kids said the same thing before too. I'm hoping it's not true for me and I really just can't imagine feeling like that.
Also.. in those pics I'm like 40 pounds heavier... I really hope that even with this pregnancy I never weigh that much again!

Can I share some of my silly pics of my Jack? If you remember, we found him a new home after Reid was born, because, well....he is evil. I miss him so much.
Mommy gave him a haircut and didn't do a very good job
We matched for halloween in 05
I had portraits done when he was a puppy
First time swimming
Okay, bah, getting teary now Thanks for letting me take some time to remember/miss my Jack Jack and sorry to post all up in your thread. lol

how cute!!! Your not crazy at all!! Oscar got doggie treats on his birthday (all I know is he was born in july, dont know what day, so his birthday is the 4th, just for kicks )
I always make my horses special treats for their birthday, I felt bad as I dont have Gizmo anymore, and I wasnt there for his birthday ( ) But I did think of him on his birthday! Next year on Caly's first birthday Ill make her a birthday cake aka big huge homemade cookie!!

It looked like a fun and silly party. I think it was a cute idea.
And.. I'm one of those people.. I said I would never change the way I felt about my two cats. They were my babies. I cried leaving for the hospital because I knew when I came back their little lives would not be the same. NOW my whole feelings about pets and animals has changed. I kind of feel bad for saying it but they are just cats now and to be honest they drive me nuts. A big part of me wishes we did not have them. But I'm the type that thinks once I have a pet it's unfair to get rid of them.
