I just did a quick online search. The cheapest 3d/4d u/s place I found charges $90! And thats only for a 5-10 minute u/s, gender verification, and some print outs. They have more expensive packages as well that gaurentee face shots, but I couldnt imagine paying >$100.
$90 is good... I paid $125. My girl wouldn't open her legs at my 19 wk U/S at my midwife appt and they didn't know if I could get another one, so the following week I scheduled it. We got a cool video and lots of pics. It was sooo worth it for me and DH to go to that u/s... we will never forget that day we found out we were having a girl!!!
I can't wait to find out what you are having... what do you think? I feel girl for you ')
I just wanted to do the private one to involve DH in it. My Drs office is an hr away from we live/he works (yes, VERY annoying). So he's never able to go with me.
But I have no idea what this babers could be. At first I thought boy, now I think girl. I flip/flop a lot. My intuitions are usually wrong anyhow, as I didnt even think it was possible for me to get pregnant when I did. So I dont know. I go in for my 1st u/s today (at least i was told I'd get one, I'd be really disappointed if they dont). Just hoping its not twins! My hcg at 4 weeks 1 day was 558, which is pretty high.
The cheapest I've found is $100 & that's for-
15 Minute 2D Ultrasound Session
Sneak Peek in 3D
4 Black and White 2D Pictures
Gender Determination, if desired
DVD - 3D Mini Movie
The one near me is $99 for the "sneak a peek" gender determination...BUT the really awesome thing is my family back home can watch via live feed on the internet. So they can find out the sex the same time we do!
We paid just $75 (I think, may have been $80) for our gender u/s at 16 weeks. We got about 10 black and white 2d pics, and a sneak peak in 3d/4d, and a few of those printed as well. We then paid $150 for a 3d/4d at 29 weeks and she took $25 off since we had done the gender u/s with her earlier. We never got any of the fancy packages.
The one I received as a birthday gift, which I haven't redeemed yet, cost DH $120 which includes a 30 minute session with a 20 minute DVD and a book of pictures. You can go anytime between 16 and 40 weeks, whenever you want, based on how much of the baby you are interested in seeing (they will focus on the face and upper body the farther along you go, but with more recognizable individual features).
Mine was 80 british pounds (approx $150) for a 16 wk gender scan. I think I was scanned for about 20 minutes, which included about 5 min of the 4d. I got about 20 print offs, no video.
Unfortunately, they couldn't tell at 16 weeks so they gave me a free scan at 18 weeks (just 2d, not 4d). They gave me about 5 print offs that time too. It was kinda nice to get to see the baby twice in two weeks- made it more worth the money. Next time, I won't be paying for one though- will just wait for my regular OB scan.
