I'm just curious what all you do when you visit JM. Do you come straight to the forums you post on... they're book marked, etc? Or do you start at justmommies.com, browse around, visit the forums, etc. I know the mods and admin and everyone put a lot of work into keeping the main page interesting, new, fresh, etc. and I'm wondering how many of us really utilize that.

I voted that I pretty much just go to the boards. I type "ju" into the URL and the most frequented boards pop up -- WTTC Grads, then WTTC, then January DDC, Wedding planning, Hosting and finally Cloth. I definitely make use of the EDD calculator and the pregnancy calander but since those have always been @ the bottom of posts I haven't had much of a reason to go to the home page. There is a lot of neat stuff there though.

So I was just curious how you run this show!

I have the WTTC grads bookmarked, and usually graze over the TTC boards once or twice a day! Usually I dont go to the main page, if I have a question I usually google it or ask it here!

I did some looking around a couple times (even once recently very recently) and I really didn't like the articles (they sound like they are written by high schoolers with no real info in them---its just not very informational I thought it was more filler, that with the new look its kind of childish to me).

I haven't even looked at the celebrity moms stuff-----it annoys me just to see it. I mean its not like they are special people or anything---heck most of them I wouldn't think do most of the normal things/lives that we all live so why in the heck would I want to know what they do?! I couldn't afford to have the nannies and toys/supplies, cooks, surgeries for looks they do nor does my life at all seem like theirs! They are kind of on the end of the list of people I want parenting advice or info from. I would rather have real-boring-normal life moms to listen to---HENCE why I like the forums---REAL PEOPLE.

I have the Justmommies Forums book marked. I hold shift and open WTTC grads first, Sept PR second, and Photography last (because they are in that order on the page). Then, I will swing by the host board, working mommies, and occassionally baby names.

I pretty much stick to the forums but I do use some of the tools like the infant growth charts and occasionally I may visit the blogs if I see anything that looks interesting.

I only ever visit WTTC, UK Mummies, BFing and the Feb09 PR. I spend most of my time on the UK board though.

I love reading about other people's lives, even celebrity moms! And just because they're famous and hire nannies, doesn't mean they're a bad mother.

I frequent the forums the most, but I go all over. WTTC grads, Child Care Providers, May 09PR, Frugal Mommies, Traditional Parenting, etc.

Straight forums. I have no interest in the articles as I've already read most of that type of information and almost none of it ever has scientific backing or references

I put straight to the forums although once in a while, something will stick out at me-- like Tori Spelling's article. I'm pretty much here, or TTC#1 6mos+, 1yr+, or TTC#1.

I'm book marked straight to the forums. Usually check WTTC Grads, and Fertility Charting first. I almost never read the articles. Every time something catches my eye, it turns out to be very basic and something I knew already.

I mostly go to the forums. WTTC Grads, Sept 08 Playgroup, AP, and random. I read the articles if there is something of interest. I have used the ddc calender and other parts but not often.

Besides the forums, I've used the due date calculator and the daily pregnancy calendar. The articles don't seem very informative, they're very basic to me. The articles would probably grab the attention of a person who is completely brand-new to TTC or parenting and maybe get them started on the forums. I don't pay attention to the ads on the top or sides, my eyes just block them out, and I never click on anything that looks like an ad on a webpage anyway.

As for the forums, I come straight to WTTC Grads because it's bookmarked. I stalk other boards from time to time, particularly DDC's (not just the Nov 09 one but many others to see what is normal at different stages of pregnancy). I don't follow anyone specific, I just browse to see if any topics interest me. Something that I do a lot actually, is use the search function. I do searches for things that I want to read others' posts about. I love search because it'll pull up threads from all over the board and from months, even years ago. So if I'm looking for something like, "balanced translocation" I can see any thread that's ever mentioned it, and many of those would be DDC's that turned into playrooms, but all of those threads are archived. I also love that with older posts, you can often see from people's siggies what the outcomes of their pregnancy was. For instance, if you have a question about spotting during week 12, you search it, and you see that this or that person had spotting and were worried about it, but their baby is right there in their siggy looking healthy. Or not. I find it very helpful and convenient, much more so than google in many instances.

I mainly stick to my forums.....I visit Siggies-R-Us, WTTC Grads, Homeschooling and Breastfeeding Past a Year. Then I stop by the September 2008 Playroom to stalk Breanna! And some of the other preggos.....occasionally I'll drop by the Cloth Diaper board or AP. And I'll also visit TTC a Specfic Gender. But for the most part, I stick to 4 main forums.....but I'll lurk in a lot of the others.
