How's our babies doing with their poops?
Kirsty's had a pretty bad day today I can't get her to take water or juice from a bottle or cup. She's been straining all day She finally accepted approx 0.5oz of water via a syringe earlier this afternoon.
she finally pooped a little while ago but she cried whilst pushing She was squealing with pain I went to change her - I can't believe the size of it (sorry TMI), no wonder she cried
I think I'll phone the HV tmor as this is happening every 2 days now when she goes. Plus there was a teeny bit blood in it today, she's cut her lil butthole

We were having poop problems a few months ago. It pretty much started when her poops started to change. I had to give her a suppository to finally get her to poop. Ever since then It's been ok. My Peid was always afraid she might get hemoroids cause she was having problems passing them. She's SO funny now when she poops, they will seriously be SO small and she turns red and makes the funniest face when she's pooping. She stand still and grunt while hunching over...It's SO funny!!!! But she always passes them now without problems.

Aww, poor Kirsty.
Matthew pooped 5 or 6 times yesterday (3 were right in a row) so I think it was a little diarrhea. Now today he's got a temp of 99.9 so we are watching him closely, poor baby.

Seamus had major pooping issues when he was a baby, he was on meds for quite a long time.
Kieran usually goes 1-3 times a day

my friends baby actually has to go in and get her butthole surgically bigger since all of her bowls are waaaay to big for her opening. My friend had this same problem when she was a baby as well....

Oh no! I hope she goes soon.
Shannon, Amara was areal pooper in her early months. She would poop with almost every feed and sometimes 2 - 3 times between feeds. I was assured that she was alright.
When I started solids last Sunday, I was a bit worried about how her poops would change and if she would have any problems. She hasn't gone every day but she's regular and sometimes twice a day. I've been adding breastmilk to her foods and I started giving her a wee bit of water in her sippy cup. I hope she continues to be well with it.

It's the transition onto solids which has caused the issues. She started out going a little less frequently but was fine going and not in discomfort. She struggled on Thursday, straining lots but only passing little ones and eventually went. But she strained all day today
Definately going to call our health visitor tmor, with her little botty having a fissure in the skin, it's going to hurt her a LOT more to pass the next one (I am a BTDT expert on this ).
I'll try and get her to take water tmor again with the syringe. It's so difficult when she refuses a bottle & cup.

Yeah, I was mostly just concerned that it seemed to be more than normal. His normal is 2, sometimes 3 poops in one day. I stripped him down to his diaper and my mom has been wiping him with a cool washcloth and his fever has gone down a bit, so I'm hoping it's just a short lived tummy bug or something. My mom said me and my brothers would always get a low grade fever and diarrhea when we were teething.
Fi, I wonder can you give babies prune juice or smashed prunes? I know that is supposed to be helpful for adults (though it tastes nasty).

Yeah I have heard apples are very tough on those little tummies.

I hope omitting the applesauce helps Fiona. It seems common for poo problems to happen when babies start solids.
My poop news: Sometimes Jack poops foam You have to see the pooping occurring to see the foam though.

My son can eat apples and applesauce, but apple juice (even if its mixed with something else) gives him violent diarrhea!!

I didn't know this about apples I'd already prpared her foods for today so unfortunately she had apples already. (I freeze portion sizes & take them out of the freezer the night before and put them in the fridge).
Not sure I've done a good thing or not, but I added a tsp of orange juice to her fruit this morning SHe had another poo this morning and cried again It's too big for her teeny botty, no wonder she cries

Aww, poor Kirsty.
Oliver is doing okay with pooping. It's not an every day thing anymore. I can always tell when he is going and it breaks my heart but looks so funny. He pushes and turns all red with a funny look on his face. Sometimes he will try and try before he gets it out. I'm not sure if he has a problem or not. It can come out like a little rock.
