Blah. So I'm supposed to fly to Dallas today but I'm flying standby and the flights are awful and it's not even worth going to the airport - there's just no way I'll get out. So that means that I'll miss the TwilightMOMs dinner and be stuck here for another day. Just craptastic and totally disappointing.

I had an appointment this morning. Blood pressure was good - 96/56. They said that's on the low range of normal but that's been normal/high for me in the last couple weeks. I gave them a list of all my BP readings since that near-fainting spell and they added it to my chart. Since nothing has been as low as the 73/39 day then we're kind of just keeping an eye on it or whatever... no big deal. I'm now up a half a pound from my pre-pregnancy weight. woo! They said I should start gaining around 2-3 pounds a month now.

Heart beat was good... found it right away. It was 149. 167 the last time. Scheduled my appointment for my ultrasound -- August 26th. I'll be 20 weeks. Ben won't be able to go b/c he'll be working - so we said we'd find a place to do gender determination beforehand so he can see the baby and find out at the same time as me. I'll probably bring my mom to the appointment on the 26th b/c I know she wants to see baby on ultrasound but we weren't going to invite her for the first time we knew. So it'll kind of work out.

I actually just looked online now and found a place here that will do gender determination at 16 weeks for $59... and I'm basically 16w, riiiiiiiight? haha... I wanna go today to make up for my crap day w/ no flying. Still seems early. But this place will let you come back for free if they can't tell... and the doctor did say that while the tech knows we're there for the gender... they're there for the developmental stuff and if we can't see gender they probably won't bring us back for another one.

Anyway, I guess I'm flying out tomorrow morning now. *sigh* At least those flights are fantastic looking.

I'm staying w/ Lauren (lash) and we're going to Twicon. I'm also going to meet Michelle (chellerenee) - she's coming to a concert with us and spending the night, etc. If only I could just friggin' GET there!

I'm hoping boy myself.

I think you should call and see if they can get you in today!!! If they ask for your Due Date, just make it two days sooner to make you officially 16 weeks!

I want to know what you are having soooo bad!!! I think you should try to get in today! I can't believe are so close to 20 weeks already.

I hope you get on a flight tomorrow. Yay! For a good appointment at the doc's office.

Glad your appointment went well and that your BP has been more stable. LAME about missing the flight, but you'll be there and having a ball here shortly! I can't WAIT to see pics of your adventures!

Didn't go today... found a place but DH couldn't go b/c he had to stay here cause the bug guy was coming. Oh well, I too think it's a bit early and wouldn't want to get inaccurate info. It's still a must to go sometime before my appt w/ my doctor so Ben can be there for the first time... so it'll be sooner than 4 weeks which is good. Until today I wasn't really anxious to know anything. I think I just wanted a 'pick me up' -- I even exhausted all my options for someone to go get a pedi with me... no go. So I'm making creamy chicken enchilladas and scrubbing toilets... great trade, eh?

Have you felt any movements yet? I know it's still early. I started feeling little pokes around 16 weeks.

A couple times I've felt like... the best way to describe it is like... you know when you hold a fish in a bag? Like from the store or the fair or whatever... and it kinda swims by your hand... that's what it feels like. Like something brushing up against me. To be honest it feels kind of gross I feel like a human aquarium. I told the doctor this today and she said she considers that movement and wrote it in my chart.
