Somehow I have to get this stupid ballgown to Dallas. I don't want to pay to check a bag and have to deal with baggage claim etc. so I always just travel with my little carry on. So I need to figure out how to get all my regular stuff there PLUS a ballgown. At one point it was like 'hmm, I guess I'll just have to wear it on the plane.' But then I thought about trying to stuff it into a big zip lock bag and then putting it in my 'purse.' I'm going to have my roll-on carry on luggage and then my one bag (purse/laptop carrier/etc) as a bookbag. I'll put the laptop, ballgown and purse in the bookbag. (hopefully -- haven't done this yet)
So anyway... the first step was to fit the ballgown into a zip lock bag. I figured if I could get it in there it would stay rolled up nicely and wouldn't be a PITA. I was planning on a gallon size freezer bag of course and my mom and aunt are telling me I'm crazy. There is no way it will fit.
Here's the dress--
and... all ya'll haters can SUCK IT b/c it totally fit!
Zipped & everything!
I don't even think it will wrinkle badly b/c of how it's rolled but I can take it to a cleaner to havae it steamed when I get there. Yay!

OMG! Where were you when I was trying to pack my wedding dress! I decided the same thing, I would just take it to the cleaners and get it steamed when I got there. Even called beforehand. I got there and they said they couldn't do it on time! I was in panic mode. We had to get a hand steamer afterall.

Well the cleaners would have basically three full days to get it done... aand I don't think it'll wrinkle badly... a nd I don't really like the dang thing anyway so I'll wear it wrinkly if I have to. It has a big footprint on the bottom of the white sash b/c I just don't care.
