I would make a list of certain pictures you want to take and with who!! There are so many people I wish I would have gotten a picture with at my wedding..

My DH stayed at his dad's house the night before and me and my girls stayed at a hotel!

Our rehearsal dinner was very casual! We did it at Copeland's one of our favorite restaurants.. We kept it on the cheaper side because FIL was paying for it and he was tight on money.. It turned out really nice!!

I wore a chocker type necklace, small dangly earrings (they didn't that much) and my grandmother's silver watch (that didn't even work but it was to remember her)

Yes we stayed in a hotel that night because we lived with my parents at the time!

Cheapo crapo wedding here

What is one thing you wish you did for your wedding? I wish I had money and help from my family, but we had to do it all on our own.

Was there anything you did that you wish you hadnt? Get the stupid cake that we got

Did you forget anything? (This is an overwhelming fear of mine! ) Not that I remember

Any advice? Breath, take small breaks, try not to rush around the day before and the day of

Where did your DH stay the night before? At our house

Where did you stay? at my moms

Was your rehearsal dinner fancy or casual? (I CANNOT decide whether to go to a nice fancy italian restaurant or to our favorite local restaurant)
n/a

What jewelry did you wear? I had on a necklace that matched my dress and earrings that matched the necklace and my wedding ring

Did you stay in a hotel that night? Our "honey" moon was that night at the Cd'A Resort-Casino so yes we stayed the night one night while my dad watched Seamus for us(he was 6.5weeks old)

One thing I wish I did: Probably money dance. Yay for extra money! Haha

Wish I hadn't: Taken off my veil and necklace after the ceremony! I just wanted them OFF to feel more comfortable, but I looked kind of naked. haha

Forget anything: I forgot to thank DH's parents during my little speech! I thanked mine, but not his...and they helped out quite a bit financially

Where DH stayed: At his parents hotel room

I stayed at home

Rehearsal dinner: It was in-between. We were going to have it at the local mexican restaurant (DH's parents chose and I was pissed!) but then we found out it was kereoke (sp?) night and I said NO WAY! haha. We had it at a somewhat fancy steak house. People were somewhat dressed up.

Jewelry: Was hard for me too!! I got mine on eBay. I had chandalier earings that were pearl and diamond (fake of course, haha). Necklace matched. They were kind of chunky and the necklace was kind of a choker style. I found a pic!

We got in a limo right after the reception and went to the most GORGEOUS, FANCY hotel in downtown San Francisco It was wonderful- you need to get a hotel!!

What is one thing you wish you did for your wedding? We didn't do any dancing, so I wish I did the traditional dancing (first dance, father/daughter, etc.)

Was there anything you did that you wish you hadnt? I wish I didn't get a smaller venue for the ceremony than for the reception... not everyone understood they were only invited to the reception, but once they found out they understood why.

Did you forget anything? I can't think of anything we forgot. We worked off of a ton of lists. That and I had an AWESOME MOH. Just don't forget the rings and the marriage license, that's all you really need!

Any advice? My MOH told me this and it worked out beautifully... make a list of all the different posed photos you want after the ceremony so your photographer can just work down the list and call out people's names as she/he goes. We were done with our posed photos really quickly, and we had quite a few! That way you won't forget any of them either. Also, make a list of all of your vendors and their contact numbers. Give them to multiple people and give alternate contact people/numbers to them to get ahold of you or someone you trust. Oh! And divvy up tips for various vendors, put them in labelled envelopes, and hand them off to someone you trust (usually best man of father of the bride) to hand out. Oh oh oh! ( sorry) Be sure your MOH has an emergency kit. My emergency kit included (this is coming straight from the list from her email to me):

deodorant
alcohol
cotton balls (i assume you need something to apply the alcohol?)
ibuprofen (what do you take for headaches and I will have that)
band aids & first aid kit
bottled water
chalk (to cover up if anything tragically got on your dress, don't worry this is just in case!)
clear polish (for hose runs)
coursage pins & safety pins
dental floss/toothpicks
eye drops (you don't wear contacts do you?)
extra earring backs
extra panty hose
hair pins/pony tail holder
baby wipes
hand sanitizer
matches
mini sewing kit
scissors
tide pen
static cling free spray (more for my dress!)
straws (so you can drink without messing up your lipstick!)
tissues
tweezers
sun block
bug spray

also, I will have with me at almost every moment:

breath mints
my cell phone (if you have vendors that need another contact you can give it to whomever)
comb/brush
cash (because you never know!)
hairspray
make up for touch ups
mirror
nail file
perfume (do you have a preference? what do you normally wear I can grab a small bottle)
tampons (god forbid)
snacks (you will be hungry, at least I was, anything you like)
krazy glue

Where did your DH stay the night before? We had separate hotel rooms (but we didn't get married in our home town). He was in a regular hotel, I was in a bed and breakfast with my MOH. We were supposed to have a gormet 5 course breakfast the morning of the wedding, which would have been awesome, but they didn't have it ready on time.

Where did you stay? See above.

Was your rehearsal dinner fancy or casual? We didn't have one, but if I were you I would go casual... go for your fav restaurant! That's more you, kwim?

What jewelry did you wear? I only wore a pearl necklace that my mom gave me. No earrings, but then again I don't normally wear them. Oh, and I put my engagement ring on my right ring finger.

Did you stay in a hotel that night? Yeah, but again we were not in our hometown.

Oh yeah, and don't forget to get some cash, I know we sure needed it for the weekend after parking, tipping, taxis, etc. I would also recommend having a number to a taxi service on your vendors list... you never know.

nothing that I can think of...

Was there anything you did that you wish you hadnt?
yea- we paid for an extra hour for the reception- and we really didn't need it.

Did you forget anything?
no

Where did your DH stay the night before?
He stayed at our house.

Where did you stay?
I stayed at my moms w/ my MOH and sister.

Was your rehearsal dinner fancy or casual? Casual! It was at an italian restaurant but very family oriented- it was so laid back and fun!

What jewelry did you wear?
earrings and necklace- I wish I would have put more thought into my jewelry!!!

Did you stay in a hotel that night? yep- we went to a hotel called the Mission Inn- it's a great big, old hotel downtown and it was soooo nice!

What is one thing you wish you did for your wedding? No regrets!

Was there anything you did that you wish you hadnt? Had more time to eat! I was trying to give my guests personal attention, esp cause we had such a small gathering--but I didn't really get to eat as much as I was hungry for!

Did you forget anything? I forgot to grab my bouquet back from my maid of honor after the ceremony, so I was bouquet-less while she had two! Also, we didn't plan on how to get our gifts back home after the reception so my dad picked up the slack and brought home the gifts/table decorations/cake topper, etc. We then got them back after the honeymoon.

Any advice? Relax! I was pretty calm about the whole thing because of the planning we did beforehand. But when someone reminded me of stuff, I was glad cause I was busy enjoying my day! Edited to add: Bring copies of your vows!! Our pastor was a real slack-off which I didn't know beforehand. It was sheer luck that I had our vows in a notebook in the trunk of Scott's car otherwise we'd have to go solely on memory--as our vows were non-traditional.

Where did your DH stay the night before? His apt.

Where did you stay? parents house/hadn't moved out yet

Was your rehearsal dinner fancy or casual? didn't have one

What jewelry did you wear? I wore a gold/pearl necklace. No earrings. No bracelets.

Did you stay in a hotel that night? No, we went to his apt/my new apt. It was very comforting to stay the night at home before we left for our honeymoon.

What is one thing you wish you did for your wedding? Spent more money to get a nice wedding album put together.

Was there anything you did that you wish you hadnt? No.

Did you forget anything? No. But I picked a maid of honor who was organized since I was unable to think properly day of.

Any advice? Be sure to eat/drink enough day of. Passing out brides are not cute.

Where did your DH stay the night before? With his family

Where did you stay? at my moms

Was your rehearsal dinner fancy or casual? (I CANNOT decide whether to go to a nice fancy italian restaurant or to our favorite local restaurant) It was casual. We had at it at a really good Chinese restaurant in town. It's not as nice as say PF Changs, but its wasnt a seedy carry-out place either.

What jewelry did you wear? My mother gave me a set of pearls at my shower. The neclace had a removable diamond and pearl drop down piece and the earrings were diamond with pearls hanging from them. They are gorgeous. My SIL wore them when she married my brother as well. I hope my daughter wears them too.

Did you stay in a hotel that night? Our wedding was at a lodge type place. It was on on the vintage/rustic side. It wasnt expensive (maybe 30-50$/night) but it was charming and romantic.

What is one thing you wish you did for your wedding? Took more time to plan it, I did it all in six weeks and while it was everything I wanted, it was very stressful.

Was there anything you did that you wish you hadnt? Mmm, not that I can think of. Everything went pretty fantastic.

Did you forget anything? Nope! I had this HUGE binder with checklists and managed to remember it all!

Any advice? The day before your wedding, make it a spa day. Seriously, go get a massage, a foot rub, something to de-stress. And also, the ceremony and reception will go by so fast so try to stop and enjoy as much as you can.

Where did your DH stay the night before? His parents' house.

Where did you stay? My apartment with my MOH.

Was your rehearsal dinner fancy or casual? Fancy, we had it at the country club.

What jewelry did you wear? I wore a blue topaz (my birthstone) necklace that Lee gave me as my wedding gift (also doubled as my "something blue") and these gorgeous diamond drop earrings. I wanted everything to be real, so my jewelry was a little more subdued because I couldn't afford huge, diamond earrings.

Did you stay in a hotel that night? No, we went back to my apartment and then left for our honeymoon later the next day. We had a post-reception with punch and cake on Sunday so we left after that.

What is one thing you wish you did for your wedding? Hired a professional videographer. Our video leaves a lot to be desired... some of it has terrible audio, and many times is very shaky because it was just 2 of our friends doing it... yet I cherish the video a lot more than even the pictures. We ended up salvaging a lot of it by buying some video editing software and learning how to edit it ourselves. It took about 6-7 months of hardcore work to do it, though.

Was there anything you did that you wish you hadnt? Not that I can think of.

Did you forget anything? We forgot some of the most obvious formal pictures. The only picture of me and my siblings from that day is an amateur one taken when we are all sweaty from dancing. It would have been nice to get a good outdoor posed one.

Any advice? Hire your DJ based on recommendations alone, and make sure that every single one of those recommendations is over-the-top wonderful. A great DJ can make your reception so memorable. You don't realize how much they are directing the reception until you get there. Mine was AWESOME!! (And I sent a written recommendation to him to use for future clients saying so). He had a ton of ways to get people up and involved, especially on the dance floor. Everyone had a great time, even the shy people. Three years later and I swear people STILL talk about how fun my wedding was, and it was mostly due to my DJ.

Where did your DH stay the night before? Our wedding was out of town, so we were all in the hotel. My DH stayed in a room with my 2 brothers, who were our ushers.

Where did you stay? I stayed in a different room in the hotel with my sister and one of my bridesmaids.

Was your rehearsal dinner fancy or casual? VERY casual. We rented a pavilion at a local park and had a huge BBQ. It was perfect. Since so many people were coming in from out of town (ourselves included), it kept things inexpensive. We had a ton of food, cake, and beer. There was volleyball and a lake also. We got to sit and chat with everyone in a relaxed atmosphere. It was totally "us."

What jewelry did you wear? My necklace was my something old, which was a necklace my grandfather gave to my grandmother on their first wedding anniversary. It was a silver heart with a crystal heart dangling in the middle of it. My earrings were just big CZ studs, nothing fancy, but they were my something borrowed as they actually belonged to one of my bridesmaids. I wore my engagement ring on my right hand until after the ceremony.

Did you stay in a hotel that night? Yes, since we were out of town, we didn't have a choice. The hotel upgraded us to a jacuzzi room, which was sooooo nice to get into after being on my feet in a 20-pound dress all day! I totally recommend spending the first night away from home, it just makes it more special IMO.

What is one thing you wish you did for your wedding? I wish that our reception was more of a party. I wish we threw the bouquet and tossed the garter, and danced and had more of a celebration.

Was there anything you did that you wish you hadnt? Nothing.

Did you forget anything? (This is an overwhelming fear of mine! ) Nope don't think so. Maybe I did but it just didn't matter haha.

Any advice? Just enjoy the day

Where did your DH stay the night before? He stayed at a hotel with his friends.

Where did you stay? I stayed at my sisters

Was your rehearsal dinner fancy or casual? It was casual. We just had pizza and ice cream cake at the church.

What jewelry did you wear? I wore earrings, necklace and a bracelet. It was a set James bought me.

Did you stay in a hotel that night? Yup we stayed at a hotel for a few nights. Was totally awesome!

What is one thing you wish you did for your wedding? Some kind of sand ceremony (we were outside and I didn't want to do candles for fear of them blowing out, but now I've heard of the sand thing and kind of wish we had done that)

Was there anything you did that you wish you hadnt? Not that I can think of

Did you forget anything? (This is an overwhelming fear of mine! ) Nope

Any advice? Relax and enjoy the day...remember life happens and it will still be great

Where did your DH stay the night before? At his aunt and uncle's (where we got married)

Where did you stay? At my best friend's house

Was your rehearsal dinner fancy or casual? (I CANNOT decide whether to go to a nice fancy italian restaurant or to our favorite local restaurant) We went to Granny's Buffet...LOL

What jewelry did you wear? I wore a pearl and small diamond necklace set that my best friend and her husband bought for me. It was a necklace w/ a small heart pendant (that's where the diamonds were) and matching earrings

Did you stay in a hotel that night? Again my best friend came through...we were planning on staying at his Aunt and Uncle's, but she and her DH paid for us to stay in a hotel room
