My future children will all wear a hand me down Christening gown that was worn by myself and all my siblings and a few of my cousins.. Its been passed around in the family a lot, but I like the idea of using it!!

I have Ed's christening outfit but Henry will be too big for it when the time comes.
I am Lutheran however Harrison was (and Nora will be) baptized in a very non-traditional way. Harrison was baptized at my parents lake house in PA by my uncle who is a Lutheran minister/navy chaplain (now retired). Harrison wore his bathing suit! Nora will be baptized by my uncle as well probably either here at the beach or at my parents new lake house in western NC. She will also wear her bathing suit!

the tradition of passing the outfit along is sweet. also the lake baptism is cool!
funny i was watching 18 kids n counting the other night and they were staying a hotel that had a hot tub on the balcony. and u see a bunch of kids go over to it and one goes, 'thats a swimming pool!', the other is trying to look into it, and another goes 'thats where you get baptised' LOL i thought it was so cute!
i believe my nephews wore a little romper thing, it was all one piece with legs and it was satin. very cute.
