I had my ultrasound sound today, to check how many follies I have, I was hoping for at least 2(im on CD13) and for them to be at least 17 or 18mm a piece.........Well there is only one and it was only 13mm The DR wasn't very optimistic at this point that we would make it to IUI this month. I go for another u/s tomorrow to see if it is getting any bigger. I could really use some big follicle dust please. I just feel so defeated, each time something else goes wrong it feels like a slap in the face. I just feel really depresed today. They are shipping me the HCG trigger shot in the mail so I wil have it be saturday, if by some chance we do get to go ahead with the IUI!!!

Sending you bucketloads of follie growing dust
Just saw your siggie--do you really have PCOS? If so, one thing that may help is to exercise a TON between now and your next scan. Oh but your next scan is tomorrow. Well, you could exercise for like 2 hours tonight maybe? My doctor told me to do this one cycle where I had a 13-14mm follie at CD 15 along with some smaller ones, and in a couple of days it grew to where it needed to be and the smaller ones disappeared. I didn't think it would really work, but it did that cycle. An idea for the future I guess. I hope that follie grows all on its own!

Okay cue the weird freaky music. I went back and checked my blog. Exactly one year ago, I was on CD 13 on Clomid (took CD 3 through 7). So Aug 8 (CD 14) I had an u/s and only saw one follicle that was 16 mm (all the others were small). Well if you look at my siggie you can see the results of that follicle.
So with a 16 mm follicle, I ovulated (without trigger) two days later on CD 16.
Maybe your follicle just needs a bit more time to plump up. I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility that it can. I think they say they grow 1-2 mm a day on average?
Lots and lots of follie growing dust to you!
Don't worry too much about just having one. I was disappointed in that too. I mean, it does mean you can't have the twin girls (unless the egg splits) but having one doesn't count you out!
Here's my blog post from Aug 8 of last year. One lonley follicle Expecting a miracle
