Thought you'd be the best to ask this. At Seamus dentist appt on Monday the hygenist told me to start flossing his teeth, is it normal at 3yrs to start flossing? I've always been under the impression that they didnt' floss till they could mostly do it on their own, cause there's no way I can floss his, he wont open his mouth wide enough (he has no cavities and the dentist said his teeth are perfect)

We recommend to start flossing as soon as kids have teeth, mostly because it gets them in the habit. It would be a great idea to start if you can. Sit on the couch and have him lay in our lap, it's a better position than trying to do it standing up!! Use a flosser(floss on a handle) it is easier to use when a child will not open his mouth all the way!! Im glad his check up went real well!!!
