Remember your blueberry muffins recipe you posted for me? Well, I'm going to use it for DH's office gift (along with the cheesecake idea, and a few other pastries... thanks ladies!). I have a question. I don't know if you usually used fresh blueberries or frozen, but this go round I'm using fresh. Will they burst open as they cook, or do I need to smush them up a little? The fresh blueberries are much larger than what you would normally find in a blueberry muffin, so I will have to smush them or chop them or something.

I have used both fresh & frozen. Fresh was better. They will burst open on there own. You just throw them in hold. Make sure to use muffin liners because mine always stick and don't come out nice without them. I hope you like them! Let me know.

Phew! Yesterday was quite a marathon baking day! I was baking ALL DAY LONG and woke up early this morning to finish it. I made a whole bunch of muffins, tons of macaroons, a bundt (sp?) cake, and little chocolate cheesecake bites with dark chocolate drizzled on top. It all turned out really well.

Thanks so much for responding so quickly Resi! I got your response right after you posted it, I just didn't have much time to reply and say thanks. The muffins turned out great! I'm so glad I got your response and didn't smush up the berries, that would have made and awful mess. The berries burst just like you said and look perfect.
