Im going to paint my unconceived babies nursery!!! I am painting my whole house and I don't want to paint that room over again. I don't want to leave it un painted because it will just bother me. I am going to have to do it gender neutral, but don't know how to do it!!! I know you guys probably think I am crazy, but I can't leave one room unfinished!!! Please help me with some ideas!!! I want to be able to add pink to it if I have a girl and green to it if I have a boy!!

My room is very gender neutral color..finding pics for you now. I think the paint color is called Sand Dollar. I LOVE it!! At first I hated it cuz it wasnt the tradetional pink or blue you know..we painted it before I knew that I was having a girl. But then we added decals to the walls and it fits perfectly. I wouldnt redo it any other way.

This was the best I could do to show you. But anywhooo browns are really in right now for nurserys (at least I love it) Kennedis is brown and pink lady bugs then I have the brown and blueish/green bed. And my carpet (which we also redid) is dark chocolate brown and I think my room is just beautiful. I would do a light creamish color then add decals or whateve to spruce it up.

I actually really like a pale green (like a pastel) for a neutral color. I think you can easily add pink to that if it's a girl or brown/blue/whatever if it's a boy! If I could paint walls (darn you military housing!) that's probably what I would have done

I agree with either a cream color or light green.

I'd most likely do a really light creamy color. That you can add the pink or blue too and it would go well. Or green.

I'm a HUGE fan of blue brown and cream. (that's what Dustin's bed set is and our bedding as well.)

That's a pic of Dustin's bedding. I would pick a softer color of the beige that's in there and use it. I can't really paint in this place (I "could" but we'd have to redo it back to white and I don't feel like putting any energy in to this horrible house)

Sounds great! Can't wait to see pictures. Even with those colors it doesn't scream nursery so you can make it a guest bedroom until the time comes.

I like khakis and browns... then if you have a girl you can add pink or purple and it would be lovely... and if you have a boy you can add blues or orange or greens and it would be grand

for you soooo much!!!!

I did a gender neutral room but added pink accents. If my baby had turned out to be a boy, I would have only had to change the accents.

Let me see if I can find some pics...

You're not crazy! We decided that our smallest bedroom would be a nursery probably before we moved in, and I've assorized it that way from the beginning. It has pink carpet, so I painted the walls a pale spring green. Window treatment is khaki with pink/green flowers, etc. We just need to paint the dresser white and get a white crib and we'll be mostly set.

We're using the room for my rabbit right now:

Not crazy! We were lazy and didn't paint the nursery so it stayed off-white. We decorated with wall appliques of little woodland animals, very boyish and cute. I'll have to post pics if I ever get his nursery "complete".

I think it's better to do painting and such when you aren't preggo anyway, with the fumes and all.

Definitely stay away from the fumes. You don't want to be inhaling those fumes. I remember when I was pregnant and my work place was being redecorated. They'd painted over the weekend and when I got to work the Monday, I instantly felt sick and thought I would throw up. I had to go back home.

you're not crazy! I'm doing the same thing. I primed the room a few weeks ago, and have an artist coming to do a mural in September. Can't wait to see the finished room.

Love the idea! I can't wait to see the finished product. Also Abbey's bedding has a similar shade of green as Carolyn's pic and it's gorgeous, it makes me regret not painting her room green.
