I just made my final 'major' purchases for baby today!!!! Everything else is purchased except for some little things like diapers, wipes, ect.
I bought a convertible carseat, a Recaro which is good from 9 months onward. My SIL was kind enough to lend me her Maxi Cosi infant carseat and travel system so that's taken care of for the first 8 months or so. I also got a lightweight 'umbrella stroller' for traveling, shopping and other times when our jeep jogger is too big.
The carseat- Recaro Sport
And the stroller- Maclaren Quest Sport:
Is November here yet?!

My EDD is only three weeks after yours and I have yet to buy anything! Congrats to you for being on top of things. I love the orange carseat.
November will be here before you know it!

Kati, I know I am a freak! I just like to get things prepared uber early. I won't be having a shower... that's an american thing and I couldnt really invite people and say you come over, I give you cake and finger food and you bring me lots of presents, lol So basically we had to get everything ourselves except for a few gifts from the parents.

Awesome!! Doesn't it feel weird to have baby gear in your house?? I always stood in the midst of it and it felt so surreal that there would be a baby using all those things so soon!
Nov is coming quick!!

I had my stroller early too but got the car seat at my shower. Great choices for your gear!
I'm actually getting the Recaro Signo carseat for Amara for when she's done with her infant carseat.

That really stinks that you don't get a proper shower. But, yay for being prepared! We just got our pack n play and a bassinet so there is now baby paraphernalia in our house... soooo weird!
