When you get an ultrasound as a part of a fertility workup, do they use the belly wand or the vag wand? I've got one tomorrow so I was just kinda curious.

They did both for me!!! The tummy one doesn't show very much!!! The Vag one shows everything in a lot more detail!!! So, be prepared for the cooter cam!!

Always had the cooter cam. Only time they did the belly wand was when they did my embryo transfer.

Yep whenever I had one for my cysts it was always up my vag, its fun. My favorite is when THEY ask YOU to put it in! Make sure to update us on how it goes!

They never asked me to put it in myself, thank goodness... but during my RE workup they checked for follies using the vag cam also. I always had the upsy-daisy until I hit like 12 weeks pregnant, when they finally switched to the belly cam.

Yep, Cooter Cam, Covered in a Condom, and they ask you to do it! I'm supposed to be getting one done any hour now-- I need to reschedule. I will call tomorrow--or later today, to share in the joy with you.

Yeah, she did it!
I was going just to check for any abnormalities... polyps, masses, etc. She said in the middle of it that she didn't see anything strange. Afterward she went to the left side and got a weird look on her face and seemed to want to get good pics of something, but didn't say anything. I won't find out much more for a couple of days.

Krista - sounds good that nothing strange popped up! If you are really 11 DPO maybe she saw the remainder of the folly that went out of your left ovary....I forget what they call it now??? Maybe someone can help me out! If they saw that - that's a good sign to show that you are ovulating and all that!
