Ive been crying all morning since my docs appt. And Im still oober upset. At the ultrasound on monday they told me that she was 8lbs 12oz and I know they can be wrong, but my doc felt her this morning and he agrees that shes 8lbs at least if not more already. I cant give birth to that! Im a little girl, I dont know how she would fit! And you know what he says to me to make me feel better..oh dont worry even if you cant deliver her Im good at c sections! Thats what I wanna hear right?!
And all of that on top of Ive been getting literally an hour or two of sleep for days on end and I itch like crazy. My legs look like I have chicken pox cuz I itch so bad that I make myself bleed! Im just so ready for this to be over, but it doesnt look like it at all. Im not anything dialated. They told me 2 weeks ago I was half cm and I was happy about that but he says that he doesnt even think that. And they told me sunday night in L&D they thought I was 80% effaced well he says its closer to 30-40%. Nothing is happening!! So he tells me how hell let me go 2 more weeks and then well talk about inducing! After he tells me shes at least 8lbs if not more! SO by the time I deliver she will probably be 9lbs if not more!!
Next week Im going there and telling him to induce me. I never wanted to be induced this whole pregnancy, but if shes really that bigg Im scared that Ill end with a c section and I cant have that. Im going to be taken care of her all by myself. My mom has to work Ill be here alone during the day. How will I be able to recover from a section with a newborn to take care of!? I just wish he would have said well lets just induce you now. Im ready for that.
As soon as he left the room I started bawling. I cried the whole way home too. Cried to my bestfriend, and dad, and now Im still crying. Gotta love horomones.

Aww Nikki!!!! I really hope that she decides on come on her own soon and you get some relief soon. She must be really cozy in there!
I hope that her size wont cause a problem with the delivery. She really is going to be a chunky monkey!

Hunny 8lbs is a nice sized baby, plus they can be and usually are wrong about the size of the baby. Your body isn't likely to make a baby bigger then you can give birth too. You have six more days till your due date, normally the baby is getting to big past the due date (I think? I could be wrong). Curtis was 7lbs 13 oz and he came out just fine! I'm a tiny girl too, I think anyways. I am 5'4".
Kennedi is just growing up nice and strong!
Hang in there! You are doing a fantastic job and you'll have her in your hands VERY soon!

Praying she comes on her own soon hun! My sister is only 4'11 and delivered 3 boys that were all over 8lbs vaginally and it went fine. I'm 5'3 and my girls were 7lb 13oz and 7lb 15oz and they were vaginally delivered fine as well. I know how hard the last few weeks are, they can be downright miserable, but just keep remembering that it won't and can't last forever ((HUGS))

Hang in there! Try to avoid that induction because you will be one step closer to a c/s. Take it from me! That ultrasound isn't 100% and you can still deliver a 8 or 9 lb baby even if you are little!

The weight estimates have been known to be off by up to a pound... so try not to panic just yet... There's no harm in asking your doctor when they would consider induction, but you've still got 5 days until your due date, it could start up at literally anytime... try to hang in there!

Man do I remember that feeling and leaving my OB appts in tears because I wanted some progress!!! Those last days seemed to creep by. I do want to reassure you that their estimates are off a lot of times. Also, I'm a small girl and was able to deliver an 8 pounder fairly easily and know girls my size that have had much bigger babies too. You can do it--try to think positively! I hope it will happen soon for you!

Keep in mind -- Effacement is a person to person thing. Someones 80 is another persons 30. (I learned this when i was told I was 80 then told i was 25 a week later... and then 80 again a week later!)
You can give birth to an 8lber! I did! (well 7lbs 12oz...) I'm a small girl too!
You dont want an induction of your not at least 2-3 cm's dilated already. I would have never agreed to one (even with health issues) if I wasn't dilated.
Remember -- In France -- Pregnancy is 41 weeks long! (because most women especially first time moms go past 41 weeks)
Oh and for your skin -- Aveeno shower oil. Bathe in it. Wash your self with Oil of Olay Body butter ribbons. Then, Coco butter lotion. You won't itch

You CAN do it!! You WILL do it!!
2 days before my due date, NOTHING was going on. I had un-progressed (went from 1cm, 80% effaced and 0 station the week before) to 1cm, 70% effaced, and -2 station. Seriously, I felt nothing. I thought I had another week or more, at least. I went into labor THAT NIGHT.
I know you're miserable, but try to avoid an induction. The doctor does NOT know how big your baby is. My friend was induced because she was 1 week overdue and the doc thought that she was looking at a 10lb baby. Her son was born 6lbs 13oz!!!! Also, you CAN birth an 8lb baby! It has nothing to do with how big or small you are. You don't know how large and capable your pelvic opening is. It is meant to give birth, and your body and baby will know when the time is right for little Kennedi to be born.
Waiting sucks, but I promise that you will be in labor before you know it. You'll blink, and Kennedi will be 1 year old (oh wait, that's me!) Just try to stay comfortable. Make sure to sleep cool- fan, lower the AC, limit clothes, etc. I got sooo overheaded when I was preggo and it made it impossible to sleep unless the room was FRIGID.
Good luck, mama! You can do it!! You're soooo close to being done!

Sweetie, you can totally do it!! It's not the size of the gal, it's the size of the pelvis. Before I had kids, I was on the smaller side, too, I didn't even have hips! I was just straight up and down, haha. But I delivered a 9 lb, 1 oz and an 8 lb, 10 oz baby with zero issues, you can totally do this! *hugs*

The average size in baby in Asia (where the women are very tiny) is 8-12lbs! Try not to focus on the wt of baby, its VERY rare to truely have a baby to large for your size. Plus your size isn't a big indicator if your going to have issues...so being tiny isn't going against you. My BFF is 5ft and all her babies were over 9lbs and she had natural childbirth for all of them!
And if your not effacing or dilating and they try to induce you thats puts you at the highest risk of needing a c-section (more so then if you just wait). Google bishop score and you can see the stats on whats an "optimal" induction and whats not.
Hang in there girl....you can do this for her!!!!!

I wish I had something inspirational to say for you! I'd take it from the BTDT moms, though.

My sister was 19 when she had my niece at close to 9 lbs. my niece was a healthy baby... she had a lot of rolls but she was super adorable and now she's 12 and thinned out. so try not to stress.

I agree with everyone else, a lot of times the weight estimations are waaaay off. They told my sister she was going to have a big baby and her baby was only 5 lbs 5 oz!!!! She was just like you, really scared that her baby would be too big. It was kinda comical actually. I don't think Kennedi will be that small, but that's just to tell you how off they are. They told me my baby would be around 6 pounds and she was 7 lbs 9 oz.
Anyway, I know how hard it is to wait because everything is so uncomfortable and painful but just try to relax and take some time for yourself. Sleep as much as possible! You probably won't get much of that when she comes. I'm sorry she's taking so long but she will come in her own time and think of how special her birthday will be.

2 weeks before I had Cambria they told me she was 8 1/2 lbs at least. They said she was gonna be a chubby/big baby. She was barly 7 lbs and shorter then any child I know, lol. On of my friends was 100lbs and 5'2 she had a 10lb baby Vaginaly AND just had her 2nd Vaginaly and she was 9.5 lb's! YOU CAN DO IT!!!!! I know how you feel though when it comes down to those last weeks AND when everyones giving birth, It's hard and you just want to be next!!!! Just keep thinking less then a week!! Maybe that will push her out on time!
