For anyone who has done them before baby arriving or just in general, do you have any good ideas or recipes? I think I'm going to start filling my freezer in late October or else I will be living off DH's cooking (aka frozen pizza) if I can't cook. Here's my ideas so far:

muffins
french toast sticks
broccoli stillton soup
carrot corriander soup
fajitas (just the filling)
fresh frozen pizzas
beef stoganoff
maybe eggplant or chicken parmigiana?

I like that idea even better! Too bad my mom will be half way around the world and I can only take my MIL in small doses, lol.

Emma, I love beef stew but my recipe uses potatoes and I heard those don't freeze well. Do you just add them after defrosting or do you use something like barley instead?

I've frozen beef stew with potatoes before and it has always defrosted and tasted just fine!!

Some of my fav things to freeze are gumbo, chili & vegetable soup!! You can always freeze a spaghetti sauce and he'll just have to boil noodles for you!

I plan on doing this as well with a few soups, casseroles, and marinated chicken breasts/pork chops/etc. So far I've only made one vegetable lasagna (without noodles), so I'd better get cracking!

It looks like you have a good start. I'm not into freezing things. Some soups are okay to me but not much else. Lucky for me Damon cooks a lot and he is good at it.

Chili and spaghetti sauce, for sure! We did a ton of spaghetti sauce which came in handy. You need those extra carbs right after having a baby I did, anyway!
