We have 4 Habba toys that I can think of. 3 are wooden teething toys. Oliver likes them all.

Some good ones that we have:
Amazon.com: Haba Trix Toy: Baby
Amazon.com: Flapsi: Toys & Games
Amazon.com: Rombino: Toys & Games
Amazon.com: Vulli Sophie the Giraffe Teether, Brown/ White: Baby

I wish all of his toys were wooden or not plasic.

We love haha, plan toys, and the website Baby Toys and Unique, European & Wooden Toys, Children's Furniture and Baby Gear at Oompa Toys. I'll try to add links later when I'm not mobile.

Yes.. we have all three of those too.

It's hard to not get the plastic stuff when we get a ton of hand me downs.

My only problem going plastic free (waldorf requirement and encourages plastic and chemical free!) Is they are EXPENSIVE!! So what Im doing now, is making the kids toys. Their into imaginary play so its a bit easier lol. Nova natruals is spendy but nice stuff. You can google "waldorf toys" and that should help out with your search for good wooden toys. Hope this helps!

Resi- those are superr cute. DO the Trix, flapsi, or rombino make clacking noises? I like the giraffe but I want to first get her a rattle type. She has so many plastic toys, but I want to have a couple good natural toys for her. We have a couple natural stores by me so I'm going to check it out. By chance did you buy any of those at Whole Foods?

I'd love to get more wooden toys too, but like Bethy said they are expensive! We got a bunch of plastic hand me downs as well. It's funny because you never know what they are going to like either. Matthew has a lot of toys but he has only certain ones that he REALLY likes to put in his mouth.

I have been hitting the consignment shop and have bought some great wooden toys there but they are more for older kids (blocks, etc).

Yes. Flapsi & Rombino make a clacking noise. We have some good old fashion toy stores buy us that sell some good wooden toys/rattles. I bought mine online before I found the store. I did not buy them at wholefoods but I have seen some wooden rattles/teethers there that would be great too!

I love the nova natural toys. I have a catalog at home. I ordered a couple things from them in the past. I would like to buy more but we are so broke lately.

Washing? To be honest I have only rinsed them off. I'm a bad mommy. I guess if I wanted to give them a good cleaning I would use warm water and vinegar to wipe them down.

I would just splash in vinegar and add some hot water. Maybe 2 tablespoons to 4 cups of water. I'm totally guessing.

I would do like a tablespoon per 1 or 2 cups. Apple cider vinegar would have a more pleasant smell - still cleans the same!
