A day in the life.... Wednesday, August 26, 2009.
8:07 a.m. baby is stirring on the video monitor. I already got up to pee a few minutes ago.

I peek in to see if he's really awake and he is. Good morning sunshine!

He lays in his bassinet for a minute while I go mix up his Prevacid (reflux medication).

He has gotten really good at taking it.

But mommy, I wanted milk.

Unfortunately it has to be given on an empty stomach (so no milk two hours prior) which is why I do it in the morning when he wakes. Then he has to wait 30 minutes before he can eat so I have to find ways to make him happy for that time. He sits in his bouncer and daddy comes in to say hi before leaving for work.

I get him dressed with the musical seahorse keeping him happy for now. I also start getting ready (contacts, brush teeth).

He listens to music in his bouncer but he is fussy because he wants food. Sometimes we go for a stroller walk during this time but didn't because the pesticide truck sprayed last night.

Okay, enough is enough. It's been 25 minutes so I go ahead and feed him.

I try to get on my laptop but it's giving me a weird error message.

I eat the breakfast Dh made me while I nurse Matthew. Breakfast tacos. When I looked at this picture, the sausage looks nasty but it tastes good!

Matthew is happy now.

He sits in his bouncer for a few minutes while I go check on my plate counts in the incubator and make sure my bacteria colonies are growing. They are. Yay!

Matthew plays on his playmat with his toys.

I play with him and also look at hotmail, facebook, JM on the PC.

He gets sleepy and I nurse and rock him to sleep in the glider.

He is out within 5 minutes this time and I put him down in his bassinet.

His bassinet is in our (large) master bathroom so he can be close to me but not right next to me at night. Here are our ghetto aluminum foil curtains Dh put up to make the room darker (they are inside the blinds so no one outside can tell we have it there

)

Here's a photo that shows how his video monitor camera and Angel Care sensor are mounted onto the walls.

Once he's down I stuff some pocket diapers.

Stormy is hungry so I feed her.

I put on some laundry.

I take a nap as well while he's napping and he's still asleep when I wake up. I go make lunch. I'm not hungry and also lazy so I'm having strawberries and cream instant oatmeal and a blueberry bagel with cream cheese.

I start cleaning up the kitchen and Matthew wakes up. This totally counts as tummy time right???

He was asleep 3 hours! Nice nap! He gets more booby.

Diaper change before we head out.

In the car going out to run errands.

We go to Walmart.

We also go to Osh Kosh to exchange some clothes my MIL bought that were the wrong size. Very happy about this because we didn't think they'd have the same clothes as the one she went to but they did!

Matthew falls asleep on the way home and naps for 15 minutes or so. I try to move him to his bassinet but he wakes up and doesn't go back down.

He plays on his playmat again while I call my MIL to tell her about the Osh Kosh finds. I talk to her for awhile, Matthew gets tired and I nurse him to sleep again.

Time to put up the stuff from Walmart.

The onesies from Osh Kosh, they have little woodland animals on them. So cute!

Matthew takes a 45 minute nap, which is just long enough for me to do my plate counts. Here's some pictures of my lab setup.

Matthew wakes up and eats, and it is tummy time.

Sometimes tummy time is too tiring.

I try to get him down for another nap but he won't stay asleep. He plays with his football in the bouncer while I start making dinner.

Dh gets home and starts trying to take care of the ant problems...we have ants coming into house again. Dinner is ready! Chicken enchiladas, mexican rice and refried beans.

We take Matthew on a stroller walk together so Dh and I get some talk time.

Home again! It's not really as dark as the picture makes it seem.

I leave Matthew in his stroller for a few minutes while I get online and start to get his bath ready. Here is how I leave him:

Tired baby sleeps in his stroller for 30 mintues then wakes up and gets a bath. Big boy in a little tub...

Mommy and baby. I look preggo in this picture! But it's just I was having to hold my body at a weird angle to hold him and manuver to get the picture.

Nursing to sleep but baby is happy and wants to talk to mommy

Down to sleep but this lasted all of a few minutes.

I grab some ice cream while he wiggles around and I hope he falls back asleep. I also get ready for bed myself.

I have to nurse him back to sleep several more times...he is a little night owl. I finally go to bed at 11:17.

Not shown: he woke up at 2:30 a.m. crying and I had to feed him. He goes back down, sleeps 15 minutes, then wakes again. He had gas apparently because I pump his legs and he lets it rip. Nurse him again and he's out till 8:00 a.m. the next morning.

Awesome photos! I can never get enough of little Matthew

I love the one of your DH saying bye to him and he has a giant smile on his face!

Nope. Top left is Mommy's Touch one size, top right is Happy Heiny one size and the bottom ones are Bumgenious 3.0 one size.

I love your kitchen!! Your house is beautiful.

Sorry, we are house hunting right now, so I think my first instinct is to check out the house.

Anyway, I love the pics! Matthew is such a cute little guy.
