I can't believe it!

I was trying to get Oliver to sleep by rocking/nursing/sitting with him tonight. He was not all the way asleep and I tried putting him in his crib. He went right to sleep! He has never went in his crib 1/2 awake and then fallen asleep on his own. I'm wondering if he was more asleep than I thought???

Some other exciting news is that he started walking 5-10 steps on his own about a week ago. He is still learning but getting better every day. He should be a pro by his birthday. I can't believe my sweet baby is walking already!

Ohh he must be so adorable toddling around! Awesome job little guy

That's great about the sleep! Perhaps he is getting more used to the crib? I think the more he wakes up in it, and falls asleep in it the more he will think it's his own little place. Of course they will always prefer mommy's bed

no no no Oliver CAN'T grow up!!!!!!! I think you should Video him, I would love to see him walking!!!! I can't believe it! Isn't it nice when they fall asleep on there own, It's crazy! haha.

Wow, that is an awesome development!

Way to go, Oliver! Reid is the same way with his walking. He can walk between Will and I, but won't really do it any other time (will stand on his own but then sit down like 10 seconds later, or take 2 or 3 steps towards a toy and then sit down) I was hoping that he would be running around by his birthday next weekend, but it's not going to happen quite yet!

LOL you spend months telling t hem to get up and walk, and once they do, you spend the rest of their lives telling them to sit down and chill

Ouch!!! Gosh, it still seems like he was just born and now a year is almost gone!

Breanna, you must be so excited at Reid's upcoming bday. I'm not sure if there's a post on it yet but if you check back in, could you update us with how the planning is going?

He woke up after 30 mins that night.

Oh well.. I'm still counting it as a good thing. My baby is growing up way too fast. Last night he looked like a little toddler in his new footie PJ's walking around.
