This is my day from Friday:

I woke up late, close to 8 am. Got up and got dressed then took this pic:


I decided to clean the bathroom:


Then I sorted the laundry


Time to make Chesnut's salad. She gets a handful of greens (these are dandelions and clover), a couple green pepper strips and baby carrots. Plus an apple slice.


Yum, yum! Love those dandelions!

Next I go downstairs and clean her litterbox:

And the cats' too:


I was going to go outside to the garden but it's raining!


Back upstairs, I deliver Chessie's clean litterbox and give Jaden her daily brushing:


Going into the kitchen now, I discover it's rained in the window!


Finally breakfast time at 9:15


Back downstairs for a little computer time:


Almost 10 am now, and I decide I might as well clean the downstairs bathroom too:


It's stopped raining, so I go out to the garden and get a few tomatoes. I record the tallies in my calendar:


I went outside for just a few minutes and got a mosquito bite!


Next I get everything set up to peel and dice tomatoes. These I got over 3 days, I think.


About 45 minutes later:

The bowl is full of cores and peels and the containers have diced tomatoes ready for salsa. I'm keeping all the varieties separate, hence the 6 containers. I have enough to make 3 batches of salsa now.

Time for a break! Please ignore my messy living room


Time to do some errands. First I drive to my parents' house, about 5 mins away. Oops, I left the house without makeup!

Bah, they're not home so I have to leave my tomatoes with a note:

They also owe me money and I'm on my way to the bank next. Oh well, I'll get it tomorrow (Saturday).

Next stop is Meijer's for use of the atm (our bank is inside the meijer's). Then with my crisp cash, I go to aldi's, the dollar store, and finally giant eagle (my main grocery store--gotta love the gas points!)

Mine's on the left. I don't see any other xD's around except a black one that lives in my parents development. So this is a rarity.

Home again! We live in a bi-level so our kitchen and main living areas are upstairs, while the garage and office are downstairs.

Total trip took about an hour. Oh yeah, I'm good!

My haul from the stores:


Lunch time at 1 pm! I'm having pasta bolognese which I made the day before. It's good, yall!


I don't normally watch tv in the afternoons, but a little spongebob is a good thing. Scott writes emails with his pda.


2 pm: nap time! Scott and I both lay down but I don't fall asleep. Prob cause I had iced tea with lunch.


2:15 UPS is here!

Bah, it's just computer parts. Oh well, I'm up now.

Time to make some salsa:

I'm making 3 different recipes.

I can't believe it took 45 mins to get these together:

These are salsa verde, salsa rojo, and lemon-garlic salsa.

I wash the dishes while the salsas are cooking:


Salsas are done! I jar them up and decide to can them in hot water, since the kitchen is already hot.


5 pm: mail's here!


Oops! Scott never woke up from his nap. I go and check on him.

He's going to keep sleeping, probably until I go to bed.

I read my book and watch some tv:


Dinner time!


While dinner is in the toaster oven, I make Chessie's dinner and feed her. It's the same as breakfast.


I eat my dinner then cuddle with a kitty. This is petal-fuzz


I decide to watch a movie from the library. These are my choices:

Remind me never to watch Van Helsing again. Ever!

7 pm time for Chessie's run-around time!

We usually let her out for 3 hours a night or so.

9:20 pm. I finally get around to feeding the cats.


Time for bed, Chessie! She doesn't like the flash.


It's out of character for me, but I decide to vacuum before going to bed:


10 pm: Ah, that's better!


Next I get ready for bed and go to sleep! What a day!

The salsa looks FAB! I've never cooked my salsa before, I usually just do pico de gallo. Yours looks to die for! The leftover spaghetti looks good too- it's lunch time and I'm STARVING! I love your DH's face when you are taking his nap pic. He doesn't look peeved at all
