Thought I'd give a little update and share some pics...
We are doing well, our first trip to my hometown went fine. Matthew was a pretty good traveler. He slept in a crib for the first time at my mom's house and did great! The first two nights he slept 10.5 hours straight, wow! Also the first nap he took in the crib, I look on the video monitor and he is on his back! He rolled over for the first time and I missed it! He's done it several times since then.
So now I know I had nothing to worry about with his development, he is just fine.
He got to meet my dad for the first time and my grandparents. We were going to go to the lake but ended up not and just put him in a baby pool. He was tired and not feeling well that day and later he had a complete meltdown screaming fit and nothing would calm him. It was horrible, never had anything like that before.
Anyway, then I got a cold and now we think he might be catching it, but I hope not.
He slept upstairs in his nursery in his crib for the first time last night. I decided it was time, every time he would thrash in his bassinet the whole thing would shake.
So I was kind of sad about it but I'm sure once we both adjust it will be fine. My mom told me I can't keep squeezing him in the bassinet forever.
Anyway, that's my little update. I feel like I've settled into being a mommy much better than when he was a newborn.
He is growing up so fast, I can't believe. It really does fly by.
