I'm looking for a wrap and asked on Craigslist and a couple people said to get 5yrds of Jersey cotton and make my own Moby Wrap. But I also had someone offer me a Mei Tai for $15, but are they one size fits all, cause I was under the impression they aren't.

Can't comment about Mei Tai but I would agree on the length of fabric and do your own. I have the hug-a-bug sling and all it is is a length of material. Very easy to tie up and it doesn't matter if one is tall/short, skinny/cuddly.

I paid £60 (approx $120-150USD) and wish I had just gotten fabric!!

Check out this youtube on how to tie a length of fabric:

Thanks Fiona and Vienna.

I just went and bought 6yrds of fabric on sale. It was almost too short I couldn't tie it in front it was about 4" to short on each side, but it works just fine tied in back. and theres enough fabric that I can make two(width wise). So hopefully I can sell the fabric and get some of the money back. The fabric I wanted was $10.49/yrd on sale but we got a different one for $3.99 so I'm hoping to sell the extra and get at least half my money back. But Kieran loved it, we walked all around Walmart(and I finally got a nursing bra! The Walmart in Washington had one in my size...well I went bigger around so the cup would work cause I'm actually bigger cup wise then I ever thought )

that's great that you got some fabric and can make one yourself I'll probably now be on the look out for fabric (on sale) that I like so I can make my own.

and yay for the nursing bra! lol I bet I'll have a hard time with the nursing bra situation when my time comes.... unless I get a reduction first...

good luck selling the extra fabric!
