Ian and I were out the other day and a woman obviously noticed I am pregnant. She asked if this was my first and I smiled and said "No, my third!" She looked at me and replied, "Well that's not exciting" and walked away. Seriously, WTH!?!? Why do people say such things? Like a new baby is only exciting if it's your first? And I can only imagine the comments we'll get if this baby is another boy. Just remembering the comments I got last time and the looks of pity when I'd say Lochy was a boy. I think if it is I'm just not going to tell people. Actually when I was pregnant with Liam (and so ecstatic he was a boy) one of the Mom's of the kids I taught asked what I was having and when I said boy she said "Oh, are you upset?" Seriously? I don't get some people and why they feel the need to open their big fat mouths.

Pregnancy really brings out the idiot in some people!!

And I don't get what the obsession is with thinking that Mom's always want to have girls. Like you said, people act like you are going to be so disappointed if you are having a boy. I can't even decide what I "want" to have and I find out in 3 days...because in the end, it doesn't really matter.

Although, her walking away like that because you said it's your third really saves you the "assvice" you get when you say you are having your first. Telling people it is your first is like saying "I'm totally clueless about having a baby, please give me all your idiot advice and opinions on how I should raise my child while yours are running up and down the aisles screaming and pulling stuff off the shelves! THANKS!". I'm learning that one.

Yeah I got that a lot when I was pregnant with Liam. Some woman on line at the store gave me a lecture about how bad the gatorade I was buying was bad for me (I was buying it for dh). "Assvice" is a good term for it especially since they're always talking out of their @sses.

Holy Moly! That's crazy rude. Horrible.

Who would have thought that a Mom, woman, mother would want a BOY?? Haha. I hated that. Uh sorry but actually I love my boys and I would even be fine if I had another!

Silly people.

I HATE that! These are just a few comments I've gotten from random people when we've been out shopping... "don't have a 3rd, twos company but threes a crowd", "Poor daddy, he needs his boy, when are you going to try for him?" "I'd hate to be in your house come period time". I feel like saying you have NO idea but I've wanted 2 girls for as long as I can remember. If I have 3 or 4 girls I would be in absolute heaven. If I have a boy, I'd ADORE the little guy and be excited to finally have a son. I have kids because I love kids and want to raise them, not because of the genitals that are in their diapers

How annoying! Having a baby is still exciting even if it's not your first. Look at Michelle Duggar. Seriously I'd be ticked off too.

And what is wrong with Gatorade??? I drank it while I was in labor.

I think, If people are aloud to give stupid advice/being insulting to you when your pregnant you should be aloud to give them a quick slap around the ol' noodle. People might think twice then

that is SO rude of her. ugh!! if it makes you feel any better ppl are rude in general. for instance last night i threw my gum out the car window (admittedly not the best thing to do but still not a crime, plus it was onto construction that would be paved over soon) and this guy just starts yelling at me (i was stopped at a light). i have had it with the rude ppl in my city and recently took a vow to simply give all of them the finger since i'm super bad at coming up with snappy comebacks. so i just gave him the finger LOL he looked so stunned it was hilarious, i mean who goes around yelling at ppl for spitting out gum!? i thought maybe i made a bad choice because he then started to come at me, but he just picked up my gum (ew! what if i had a contaigious disease!!) and stuck it on my car window LMAO! anywho, i was happy in the end that i stuck up for myself. and the gum fell off hehe.

I've always known that people are idiots, but it wasn't until I was pregnant that I realized just how stupid they can be... Sorry you had to deal with that.
