So I've been having some pretty bad stomach pains under my ribs on my right side- throbbing, burning and sore to the touch. I spent from 2:00 -11:30 yesterday in L & D and all they could tell me was " We don't know what's wrong with you!" It's not heartburn, not my liver, not my gallbladder, not my kidneys, none of my internal organs!
They tried several different medications and none worked- They offered me a stronger pain med but I didn't take it. They are going to send me to a G.I. specialist and then I have to talk to my OB about it possibly being stress related. UGH I'm tired of being in pain and frustrated that I can't get any answers. Even when I don't eat it hurts- granted it hurts extremely worse when I do eat but now it's just a constant pain.
Oh well the doc said that pregnancy only lasts 9 months and then the pain should go away- so i have about 2 and 1/2 more months of this!

That stinks! I'm sorry you are in pain and they don't know why. That is always the worse.

Oh no! I'm sorry you're in so much pain and worse that they don't know what's causing it. I hope they figure it out soon to get you some relief at the very least!

I'm sorry! Are they positive it's not your gallbladder? A large number of women start having gallbladder issues during pregnancy, and many even have to have them out within a few months postpartum.

Awww, I'm so sorry you're having to go through this. I hate when people tell you "it's only for 9 months..." I'm like, "Yeah! And 9 months is a long freakin time!" I hope you get some answers soon.

That sounds awful! I hope you get a diagnosis soon, I know that's gotta be frustrating.

Is your bubby head down? Is the pain only on 1 side and if so... do you know if baby's feet are on the same side? I ask because I had similar pain to what you describe for the last few months of my pregnancy and it was Kirsty's feet in my ribs.
It honestly felt like my skin was bruised right where it was, really quite tender to touch. Try stretching your arm on the same side as the pain, stretch that arm up and over your head. If it eases it slightly then sounds like baby's enjoying that space!

Hopefully Fiona's experience is similar to yours and you can find relief.
