I'm on cd 2 and DH and I talked last night: we agreed to actively ttc from now until infinity or we get a whichever comes first. We've wanted an August baby for years now, and this will be our 3rd try. So we'll "practice" in Oct, and go for the gold in Nov.
We got our pre-seed, and I'm going to start back taking fish oil and evening primrose oil along with my other vitamins. I hope that the epo will help get my cycles back on track: last year my average length was 30.3 days, but this year they are trending up at 33.1, with my most recent being 36 days. I'm only going to have 11 periods this year.
Anyhoo, this is really stupid because we have no money, etc etc. But seriously! It's been 2 years since we were first trying, and I am impatient for a baby already! So we'll "practice" in Oct, and go for the gold in Nov. See you in the Ttc thread!

Woohoo Carolyn! I have been hoping you would start trying again!!! I know what you mean about frustrating long cycles- mine were long too. I will be praying for a July or August baby for you
ETA: I forgot to tell you that I tried your rustic corn salsa recipe a couple weeks back and it was amazing!

I'm so happy for you that you're trying again Carolyn!!!! My cycles were incredibly long too (over 40 days on average) so I know how frustrating it is! I hope you get your BFP really quickly this go around and you get your August baby (August babies are great!!!)!

YAH!!! Dont worry about the money yet, God will provide. DH lost his job on Friday and on Saturday we found out we were pregnant. We didn't know how long (in our case, short) it would take. GL and I cant wait to start chart stalking you!!!!

Yay Carolyn!! That's excellent news!! I had long cycles too, they are the pits. I'm so jealous of women with short cycles.
And I agree, your new siggy is super cute.

Don't fret about the finances too much - if we (all parents in general!) saved for a baby before trying, we would NEVER have a baby!! You just can't save enough, but you get by with what you have.

I'm happy your are ttc again too. If you end up pregnant everything will fall into place one way or another. It always does.
How long were you trying before? Did you try for 2 years or was it two years ago that your first started trying but stopped for breaks in between? Best of luck to you for a August baby!

Resi, officially we've tried for 3 months of 07, and 6 months of 08. But We only actually prevented for 3 months of 09 and all the rest of the 2 years has been ntnp. So the unprevented bd'ing we've been having hasn't resulted in anything for us so far. Anyhoo--it's all in the past now. We're charging ahead from here!
Thanks for the encouragement, everyone!! It really lifts my spirits
