Ok, so my turn for an update. I haven't done one since Rylie was born and that was 6 months ago
My life- For a while things had gotten rough between Andy and I. We lost our house (living with my parents till we pay off debt which will be till this April) and we were in HUGE debt from trying to stay afloat in this economy (he's an auto tech). Another reason we were in this situation is something his parents did to us financially 3 years ago and I've held a lot of bitterness against him and his family. Because of all the stress, we weren't getting along to well. We got Christian marital counseling several months back and we couldn't be happier. We've worked through our problems and have grown as a couple and it's really amazing to look back and see the progress we've made. I'm even more in love with him then I ever thought was possible. It's difficult living here with my parents sometimes. First off, it's embarrassing because I have 2 kids and I'm back with mom and dad (though the whole upstairs is ours). It's hard on Andy because he feels he couldn't provide but his career field has been hit hard. He tried to get a 2nd job for MONTHS and couldn't find one. I haven't always gotten along with my mom very well and she can be interfering at times but I understand it's hard to go from having 4 kids and then to having little ones back in the house and try not to give her 2 cents every 5 mins. Her brain has kicked back into mommy mode LoL. Other then that, things are going well and we can't wait to be back in our own place!
Taylor- Where do I begin?! She's going to be 2 a week from today This age is so incredibly fun but tiring. She's saying sentences now like "mommy come sit on bed too", "Milo kitty playing with toys", "I need to go poop and pee pees on the potty chair", ect. It's CRAZY to hear her talking like this! She can count to 10, knows most of her shapes, she's learning her colors (so far she has pink, purple, blue, red, and green down), sings a few songs that are kind of broken up, and knows some of her ABCs. She loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Dora but her favorite it Sesame Street. She's moving from her crib to her toddler bed this Tuesday night! I'm pretty nervous about it, it's one last thing that's confirming she's not a baby anymore and that's tough on me. Andy took off from Wed-Sun this upcoming week for her birthday and we figured Tuesday night would be a good night to start the transition. She's a very outgoing, friendly, talkative, goofy, 'I want things my way' type girl. We're starting the whole potty training process as she's been showing signs but won't really press the issue until she's closer to 2.5. She absolutely adores her little sister. She doesn't always like to share but she's getting there and really loves playing with Rylie.
Rylie- She's 6 months old now and boy have these months flown by! She's Taylor polar opposite. She's quiet, relaxed, and super giggly and smiley. Taylor basically cried 24 hours a day for 9 months straight as an infant LoL. She's sitting up on her own, eating solids, has started shaking her head no LoL, and said dada for the first time not too long ago. She's very close to crawling but right now we're in the army crawl stage which is adorable. She's been sleeping through the night, from 8-6 or 7, for 6 or 7 weeks now and it's AWESOME! I feel human again LoL! Her favorite person in the whole world is Taylor. She LOVES when Taylor talks to her and interacts with her. They go for their 6 month and 2 year check ups October 14th and I'll update on all that then.
On to pics... it won't let me upload anymore and hasn't for days, either on photobucket or on tinypic, so this is all I have right now, GRR!

Awwww, your girls are so cute! I'm glad they're both thriving!!
I'm sorry to hear that you and Andy had a rough patch, but you worked through it and are stronger for it, which is amazing. Hopefully the rest of your life will continue to come back together and the four of you can be back in your own place soon! Good luck with everything and thanks for the update!!

WOW they have gotten big!!! I love the kids update!!! They sound like very smart children, you are raising them so well!!!!
I am sorry about the hardships, but your marriage is more important than any material pocessions, so I am glad you got that straightened out. We have had counseling ourselves and its amazing how it changes you.
Glad to hear that everything, overall, is going really well!!!!

They are adorable! I'm glad you posted an update - I had been wondering about you. I think it is great about the counseling. I keep telling Dustin that we should go for marriage maintenance, maybe even to a retreat. He agrees but it is hard to find time.
Taylor sounds like one smart cookie! I can't believe she is two now. Crazy! And Rylie looks so cute sitting up in her crib. I somewhat understand about moving Taylor into a toddler bed and saying goodbye to her babydom b/c I don't want Jack to move into his crib from the co-sleeper at all. But he is still pretty young. I hope the transition goes smoothly

Awwww look at them! They are both so cute! I love Taylor's curly hair and Rylie's pretty eyes. I'm glad to hear you and Andy's relationship is going so well! It sounds like things are going great, despite the economy. That is one great thing about the economy -- I think it pulls us all closer, you know? Some of us have to do things like cut the cable or move into a smaller place, and although it can suck, I think good things can come of it too!
Anyway, sorry for the tangent. Again, your girls are absolutely adorable!

Thanks for the update, I love hearing about your girls and seeing how adorable they are! I'm sorry you and Andy were going through a rough patch but good for you guys for going to counseling and getting things sorted out! We live with my in laws and while it was hard at first, I really love it! Of course it helps that I love my in laws and we get along great but it was a hard transition to make. In this country it really isn't the norm to live with parents but around the world it is in a lot of peoples culture. I love that my kids get to spend so much time with their grandparents and they have such a close relationship with them. It's something I never had with any of my grandparents so its great to see my kids will have it with theirs. I had to do a mental shift to get there but, to me, the benefits of living with parents (especially for my kids) far outweigh any negatives there may be.

The girls are so cute Lisa - they remind me of my nieces when they were younger! You are very lucky to have parents who will take you and your family in....my mom let me live with her (my dad was working in OH at the time and came home on the weekends) with Harrison when we were building our house and David was still in VA but besides that they would never let me come back I hope you do have a speedy time into your own place - I know that would be the best thing. Glad to hear that things are going so good with you and Andy too! Thanks for the updates and sharing the pics!

Glad that Taylor and Rylie are doing well and that they're both growing.
Sorry for DH's job loss and everything that has spiraled from that and from what his folks did to you all. Although its a tough situation, glad that your parents are there to help you guys get on your feet. YAYYY for marital counseling and on you two becoming closer than ever before. I hope that in April, that you guys will be able to have your own place and begin to materialistically rebuild your lives.

Thanks for the update! I love to hear counseling success stories. And way to go Taylor, she's obviously a smart one! All in all it sounds like your family has learned how to get through the toughest of times and be resilient. No matter what happens what matters is that you are all together.
