I'm not posting this to make anyone jealous, but I've got a turkey in my oven right now!
Last year my parents gave me a turkey cause it was buy one turkey at x price and get one half off. So I had a 10 pound turkey in my freezer this whole time. I thought originally I'd cook it for the whole fam, but I chickened (or turkey'ed?) out cause I've never cooked a turkey before. What if it really sucked? So I'm cooking it for just Scott and me.
We'll also be having stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, and corn muffins. No need to go overboard, we'll have turkey for ages and I can make stock with the carcass.
Gotta go, time to baste it!!

I'm making a thanksgiving this weekend for my parents I have never made one for them before! I'm nervous. I've only done the thanksgiving spread once before and I was a total stressball and was miserable.

Yummy!!! Every once in awhile I'll just cook a small turkey breast for the heck of it!! I just love it so much!!

It turned out so good! Here are some pics:
I think that bone fell off of one of the arms?
I was so happy that it turned out so good, and no stress to make at all! But when you're cooking for a husband who will eat whatever you put in front of him, it's easy to satisfy him!
