Can I use both??? Would it bother the baby??? I really want to cloth diaper, but DH isn't all for it. So I am wondering, can I cloth diaper when I am at home or when the baby is with or at night time, and then use disposable diapers when the baby is with his parents(my parents would love to cloth diaper) or when the baby is just with him???
Of course you can use both! I started on disposable the first few weeks because I did not buy newborn cloth diapers. I have also bought disposables a few times in emergencies. I actually have been putting Oliver in disposable diapers at night time more often because they keep him more dry. I would say we use cloth 90-95% of the time.
Yup! And you never know, your DH may change his mind. Dustin did once he saw that we didn't get blow outs with cloth and his rash cleared up when we switched him after coming home from the hospital. But you never know when you may want to use disposables too like Resi does. It's all good! The baby most likely won't mind either way
Don't forget they make diapers (all in ones) that snap just like disposables do, so all he would do would be to toss it in the diaper pail for breastfeed poop or shake it over the toilet for solids poop.
I'm going to start with disposables but get myself a couple of cloth diapers to see how we like them too. My DH is kind of anti-cloth too (thinks it is too inconvenient) but I believe he could be convinced if he can see a benefit.
