Hi ladies! I got the afternoon off from work so I can actually catch up on things like updating you ladies!
Johnathan is doing excellent! He had his 2 month appointment earlier this month and is 11lbs, 15oz (50th%) and 24 inches (75th%)! He is s long! Doctor said he's met all his 0-3 milestones, most of his 4 month milestones and one 5 month milestone! And he also has big feet! He wear socks for 12-18months, sleepers 3m, 3-6m and some 6m fit him, clothing wise some 0-3 fits him but he is mostly wearing 3 and 3-6. He loves bath time and he gets one every night. He enjoys his night routine. Play, bath, bottle, bed. He has been sleeping through the night for about 6 weeks now.
This boy has a HUGE appetite and a huge spitting up problem. We increase his formula, and he spit up whatever we increase over 5oz. So the doc had us introduce solids a few weeks ago to help him poop more (hes been on prune juice for that and goes 2-3 times a week now, we were also giving him regular geber prunes as well at night), but now she wants us to feed him twice a day to help him stay full (no rice cereal though since he doesn't poop that would make him worse). I'm not keen on the twice a day thing just yet, so we are sticking with once a day -- he gets some at night. He love carrots, bananas, pears and prunes. He does NOT like peas. We've tried twice now. He actually opens his mouth for the spoon -- its cute!
J.J is in day care twice a week since our friend flaked on us and he seems to like it but mommy and daddy do not. They don't burp him enough (we remind them) and they don't change him enough (4 times between 9-6 is not enough for me! Especially when i change him 4 times in like 4 hours usually!) and we've already spoken to them about that too. He's going to the better day care at the end of this month/next month when a spot opens up for him. It's full time only, but on Monday and Wednesdays when I am off, I'll be picking him up at like 2. This way I can get the house cleaning done, get school work done and get my shopping done without the baby.
As for me -- I am well too! Dropped to 139 pounds. 10 more to go! Work is... work. DH is working on his dissertation, and that's about all. I am planning on doing a donor egg cycle very soon at my clinic (my IVF doc is offering me 9,000 dollars - we are hurting for money so not only does this help us, but i get to help someone else have a family!)
We also plan on adding an adopted furbaby (an adult) to our furzoo at the end of this summer. We're gonna get Cody (our dog) a sister!

He's adorable!! Kirsty had poop issues too and I read online that carrots & bananas can contribute to constipation. Also apples and toast (not that he'll be getting toast right now!)
Pears are good for helping them go poop!!

I don't know what the state regs are like in NY, but here in CA, daycare providers are required to check diapers every 45 minutes! I'd call your state board to report your center if they're not following your state's regulations.
p.s. I'd get a second opinion on the solids issue.

Glad that he is doing well! He looks too adorable and I too agree that he looks like his mama
I was going to do the egg donor thing before I got pregnant. I wonder how long do you have to wait to do it after you've had a child?
