I am so stressed. I had a stomach virus yesterday (bad #2 and puking) and now my milk supply is like gone. I don't get it I have never had a problem with it and now its just gone. My poor Landen just keeps sucking and looking at me like "I'm soooo thirsty mom". And I missed my trash day because I was sick and it wont be until 2 weeks I can get rid of many nasty diapers. And my fing cat pissed all over Landen's car seat. Chris will be home VERY soon. I have so much I need to do around the house. And I can not find his freaking class a pants. Landen is the sweetest little guy I just love him too much! He is running around like crazy lol. He say's "mama up up up" in the morning to wake me up. He says ooooow oooow when he wants booby. We still co-sleep and breastfeed (if my milk comes back). He grabs my face with his tiny little hands and forces me to kiss him LOL and he makes the kissy noise. He always runs up and hugs me while he plays, he love to cuddle. I will have to upload some pics. So any ideas on how to get the milk flowing?

Awhh, you talking about Landen missing the booby milk made me tear up! I bet you lost a lot of fluid when you were sick. So I would drink like a TON of water, and then nurse often. I bet that will bring the milk back

I hope you are feeling better. Landen sounds like such a cutie pie! I'm glad your DH will be home soon - hopefully you can have some relaxing mommy/daddy time then

Did you fluid intake decrease a lot due to the illness? I always find that I produce more once I keep my fluid intake up.

Landen sounds so darling! I can't wait for some pics!

i just read an article about how adoptive moms are actually able to breastfeed even when they havent even had a baby! so what they said in the article was just frequent feedings would bring milk in, so i gotta figure since your body has been geared up for it for a while with some frequent feeding and making sure ur rehydrated, your milk will come back. i'd def say keep nursing even if nothing is coming out.

aw landen sounds like such a little sweetie pie!! the random hugs and grabbing ur face for a kiss - adorable!!

Landen sounds like such a little sweet heart!

As far as milk supply goes, just drink a ton of water. Eating oatmeal helps too and keep putting Landen to your breast as often as you can. It'll come back. You could always start taking fenugreek too but I don't think you'll need to. Every time I've been sick once I can start getting some fluids and food in me my supply rebounds.

cat pee is gross, i can sympathize. a couple years ago my SIL left her cat alone in our apt for like 10 days. it was DISGUSTING when i got home (I left a trip we were all on before everyone else), it was like -20C outside and i had to sleep with all the windows open, it took a long time to get the stink out.

Landen sounds like he is super sweet! They are all over the place at this age, huh? Diaper changes are a ton of fun over here! I bet Landen twists and tries to run away too.

I bet your milk supply will be back soon enough. I have heard it can take a dive when sick.

Yuck! I hate cat pee. My cat used to pee on everything until I figured out she MUST have her litterbox cleaned EVERY DAY. She's particular.
