So I spent all day yesterday in the hospital.......I got really sick Monday night- out of nowhere I started throwing up really bad- diarhea (TMI I know)- couldn't get it to stop. I have NEVER been so sick! Started at about 6 and went every 10 minutes. At about 1:30 in the morning I had, had enough and decided to head to L&D. My stomach was killing me and I wasn't sure if I was having contractions due to being so sick.
Turns out I was having contractions 2-3 minutes apart! They hurt but I was so weak and so dehyrated that it was Ok- surprisingly enough it felt like just strong menstrual cramps. They checked me and my cervix was high and closed! Not dilated at all! They immediately hooked me up to an IV and started me on Terbutaline (sp?)- THEN they started mentioning H1N1- I was swabbed for that and treated as if I had it- It sucked- I had to wear a mask and everyone that came into the room had to wear one. They tested me for bladder and kidney infections, did a chest X-Ray and a bunch of cultures and bloodwork. I won't have the results back on the H1N1 until tomorrow or Friday......All they could tell me is that I do have some sort of infection somewhere- my white blood cell count was high and I have a slight fever.
Baby is OK now- she wasn't looking good when we first got there- her h/b was all over the place and they couldn't keep her on the monitor. They kept me until almost 9 last night to monitor her. She looks fine now- I'm in bed now for a few days fighting the infection and hoping that I don't have H1N1!!

I hope its not the H1N1, Seamus has it and after seeing him I couldn't imagine having it while pregnant. Keep rested and get better fast!
