I'm just watching one of my favorite movies, that I've seen probably 100 times (Anna and the King) and it got me thinking about movies other people like. I'm big on watching movies.

So a couple questions for you.

What are your favorite 3-5 movies of all time?

Have you watched them many times? (and if so, how many do you think?)

What is your favorite thing about these movies?

If you could only watch these movies for the rest of your life, would you be ok with that?

Added Question: Is there a movie that you love that most people aren't familiar with? (if so, what is it and how did you first hear about it?)

Ok that's it from me!

Time to answer my own Qs.

What are your favorite 3-5 movies of all time?

1. Anna and the King
2. Remember the Titans
3. The Breakfast Club
4. Practical Magic
5. Forrest Gump

Have you watched them many times? (and if so, how many do you think?) Anna and the King and Remember the Titans I've probably seen at least 100 times each... The Breakfast Club, I watch it every time it's on TV (but DF just bought it for me on HD DVD so i'm excited to watch it like that). Practical Magic I just love and have probably seen it about 30 times. same with Forrest Gump. maybe not that many times but still a lot.

If you could only watch these movies for the rest of your life, would you be ok with that? I would probably be ok, but there are so many movies I love that I would miss some of the others I think. Although when I first started watching Anna and the King I actually watched it multiple times a day every day lol for a long time... and I still like it.

What is your favorite thing about these movies? Anna and the King makes me fall in love with it every time. The romance and the sadness always gets me. Remember the Titans is 1. hilarious and 2. very touching. The Breakfast Club... I don't know what it is that I love most about it, but it's just one of those movies that I could watch over and over. Same with Practical Magic. It's not only a good movie, but I am interested in magical things in general so this works for me. and come on, who doesn't love some Forrest Gump?? That's all I'm gonna say about that lol.

Added Question: Is there a movie that you love that most people aren't familiar with? (if so, what is it and how did you first hear about it?) Mine would have to be The 10th Kingdom. I LOVE that movie and even though it is SIX hours long, I've seen it multiple times. Wonderful movie. Anyone heard of it?

Okay, let me just preface this with I love scary movies....

1. The Others
2. The Notebook
3. Amittyville (sp?) Horror
... I never thought too much beyond my first three.

No I would not be okay with just watching these movies the rest of my life!

I love scary movies that deal with supernatural subjects, and it is hard to come across good ones! And I love The Notebook just because it is such a good story.

What are your favorite 3-5 movies of all time? Barefoot in the Park, How to Steal a Million, His Gal Friday, Much Ado About Nothing, Manhattan Murder Mystery, Dark Crystal, Labyrinth, Great Muppet Caper; Die Hard, Clue, Princess Bride, etc Sorry that's more than 5!

Have you watched them many times? (and if so, how many do you think?) Loads, probably!

What is your favorite thing about these movies? I love great dialogue and great characters!

If you could only watch these movies for the rest of your life, would you be ok with that? Since there's so many, I'd say maybe. But I love variety.

Added Question: Is there a movie that you love that most people aren't familiar with? (if so, what is it and how did you first hear about it?) I love the 10th kingdom also! My mom has it on video, but she's going to dub it over to dvd. I hope I can get a copy I love classics too, which most people haven't seen. Movies based on plays are usually interesting because of the dialogue.

What are your favorite 3-5 movies of all time?

Zoolander
Anchorman
Old School
Texas Chainsaw Massacre
Home Alone

Have you watched them many times? (and if so, how many do you think?)

i've watched home alone like a bazillion times, its one of my longtime faves. TCM probably like 5 times, and the others probably around 10-15 times each. Maybe a few more for Zoolander!

What is your favorite thing about these movies?

i love funny rediculous movies and i also love psycho killer movies, hence the mix!
home alone is just a fave from when i'm a kid, i love watching it every christmas.

If you could only watch these movies for the rest of your life, would you be ok with that?

no, like new movies.

Added Question: Is there a movie that you love that most people aren't familiar with? (if so, what is it and how did you first hear about it?)

probably not......i'm so mainstream! i dont have patience for movies with bad endings so i tend not to give indie flicks a chance.

What are your favorite 3-5 movies of all time? Gladiator, Ever After: A Cinderella Story, Knocked Up, 300, Spanglish

Have you watched them many times? (and if so, how many do you think?) I've seen Gladiator and Ever After probably 10+ times. I've seen Knocked up and Spanglish 3 or 4 times, and I've only seen 300 twice.

What is your favorite thing about these movies? Gladiator and 300 let your imagination escape and I love the drama of the cinematography...they are powerful films. I love Knocked Up because it lifts my heart and makes me laugh. I love Ever After because it's romantic and reminds me of being a little girl. I don't really know why I love Spanglish, but I really love Adam Sandler and it's both a simple and deep movie at the same time.

If you could only watch these movies for the rest of your life, would you be ok with that? Yes, because they are so diverse.

Added Question: Is there a movie that you love that most people aren't familiar with? (if so, what is it and how did you first hear about it?) Not really. I'm pretty mainstream

What are your favorite 3-5 movies of all time? geez. I don't even know. Off the top of my head, ones that I've seen many many times:
Phantom of the Opera
Fight Club
Donnie Darko
Battle Royale
Watchmen

Have you watched them many times? (and if so, how many do you think?)
Many

What is your favorite thing about these movies?
I don't know. Some are theme, some are complexity, some are Gerard Butler

If you could only watch these movies for the rest of your life, would you be ok with that? no I'm a movie buff. I love award-winning and/or old movies and I'd be super sad without a wide variety of movies to see.

Added Question: Is there a movie that you love that most people aren't familiar with? (if so, what is it and how did you first hear about it?) Probably Battle Royale. Its an amazing movie. Basically, in an alternate future, there is a law in Japan where they take a whole class of students and put them on a deserted island and make them play a kill or be killed game. At the end of three days, the only person who gets to leave the island is the winner (last one alive).

You should definitely see (or read) Battle Royale then From what I've read about the book, Battle Royale just sounds like a better version of Hunger Games. If you wikipedia The Hunger Games, at the bottom in the See Also section, Battle Royale is listed.
