best...weekend...ever!

So we're still in Vancouver (decided to stay one more night) and this has been an awesome weekend! Friday night we got here around 7ish, then went to the Keg (yum!) then back to the hotel to swim.

Yesterday we did some sightseeing, but started out by standing behind an assistant captain of the Toronto Maple Leafs (HOT!) went to the chinese gardens (beautiful) and then granville island. came back to the hotel and then we went out to dinner at a pub down the road. then swimming again.

and TODAY we started out by going to the old spaghetti factory in Gastown then touring some of the downtown area (mostly Gastown). and theeeeeeeeen, came back to our hotel and got ready for 100 MONKEYS CONCERT!!! DF came with me for the first time and he really enjoyed himself. during the first band I look over at DF and out of the corner of my eye I see Ben J (the monkeys' drummer) standing RIGHT behind us. actually if i had turned to actually look at him full on I would probably be about 5 inches from his face! lol I was so excited just by that LOL also, we were standing to the left-ish side of the stage so that was the route the guys were taking to go back and forth to the bar. so because of where we were I also got to get nice and close with Ben G. After the concert, the guys were doing an autograph signing, but they said only one item each...

so I asked DF to take one of my items and get the guys to sign it, which he did. we moved along the table and got to chat with all the guys. they are so awesome. oh, also, Jackson was at the end of the autograph line and I had brought along a photo of the first time I met him with my friends at the RIO theatre and he signed it "much love, JR" *swoon* LOL

sorry for the long, boring post lol but I was so excited about this whole weekend.

*flail* That sounds like a beyond perfect weekend! So happy you had fun (and got to see the beautiful Mr. Rathbone, of course!)

oh I swooned a little bit... LOL I loves me some Jackson (and the rest of them too). The line went Ben G, Jerad, Uncle Larry, Ben J and then Jackson, by the time I got to Ben J (who is so sweet) I was practically shaking, and they were in an lounge area so they were leaning over the rail, super close. lol Just thinking about it makes me happy again! LOL

I didn't get any pics of the signing (one from while I was in line) they wouldn't let us take pics with them. but here's a pic of all of them from the concert (L-R: Jackson, Ben J (on drums), Ben G, & Jerad)

yes, steph, it has a train car in there. from the 1904 apparently. it's kinda cool.

That is an awesome picture!! I've been watching interviews with them all day and they all seem like such sweet guys. I entered Charleston into that "100 Monkeys tour" contest and I sooo hope they decide to come here!
