Who has started thinking and planning for Thanksgiving? It's only 4 weeks away! What are you doing this year?

We are going to drive up to my SIL's in the suburbs of Chicago. It's about a 3 hour drive. It should be a nice fun drive with Oliver. He isn't into long car rides. I have been talking to her about what kind of food I'm going to bring. We are going to do our Christmas presents too because we won't drive up for that.

I will be going to Michigan. DH and I fly there together, but then he has to come back before Thanksgiving. I'm staying a week. I'll have my babyshower then too!! Very excited for that.

As of right now we are going to Seattle for a family weekend. (awesome that DH is working at least 48hrs this week most likely 56, score for over time $$'s finally!)

I'm refusing to spend time at my familys house. Go look in private board.

We usually do it at our house w/ all the family but since it's a week away from my due date we aren't doing that! I don't think I'll be up to doing much cooking! We are going to my dad's house for lunch and then up to my moms for dinner.

We're doing thanksgiving at my mom and dads house here in NC. My sister and her family are coming. I will meet my nephew for the first time and they'll all meet Nora for the first time...It will be awesome to have all 5 cousins together. Harrison is so excited because he just got his new swingset in the backyard for his cousins to play on. My mom is an awesome cook and she'll be cooking the dinner so I am very excited! DH has to work Thursday and Friday so we'll do the big dinner on Saturday!

we already had our thanksgiving!! me and dh and SIL all went to my FIL's place, he made a turkey and a ham, it was delicious. unfortunatly step-mil got drunk and mean to poor SIL regarding her home birth, and poor SIL (who is due in like 3 days) was so irked. and actually i fully support sil in her decisions, since most of mine will be the same, so i was quite irked too. i went to bed right after dinner so i didnt have to deal with the tension. the whole incindent was just embarassing for mil.

We are driving and staying with my ILs. We'll do lunch with my family and dinner with Dhs. I'm making low fat pumpkin pecan cake. I'm excited about Matthew's first Thanksgiving! I think I need to find him a new outfit though. I don't know what I was thinking but when I was preggo I got him one but it's a 6 months size. No WAY is it gonna fit.

Sarah I'm sorry that happened! Thanksgiving is the holiday that is all my family all day. We've done it like that for 5 years and will continue for our 6th. It's my absolute favorite holiday-- I love watching the Macy's Parade-- still watch the whole thing every year!

And, of course, I'm the birthday princess the entire day, which might be why I like it., lol. This year my birthday is Black Friday though. SarahMarina and I may meet up!

Well Thanksgiving isn't really in my thinking right now. We have my sister's bridal shower on the 8th so I'm just trying to get through planning that and then I'll think about Thanksgiving. We'll probably just go to Ian's great-aunt's house, she has it every year.

I'm sooooooo hungry right now and now you have me thinking of Thanksgiving dinner! mmmmmmmm...

I don't know what we will be doing. We are about to start moving, so we might still be in unpacking/decorating mode. I think DH might have to work, so I might go to my mom's house.

mmmmmm turkey and dressing....

Must... snap... out of it...

My mom is hosting Thanksgiving this year. It's the first year after my nana passed away. So I'll be helping my mom prepare/cook. And then we're spending the night at my IL's cause Ed and I will wake up super early for BF sales.

We will be spending the day with DH's family, all of whom I absolutely ADORE! His grandma (Granny!) always hosts at her house and we spend the afternoon helping her while she chases us out of the kitchen. Then we all sit around stuffed in the living room while the kids play & we look through the paper and discuss Christmas wish lists. Unfortunately, Grandpa passed away last week so it will be the first holiday without him at the head of the table. That is going to be really hard.

My first Thanksgiving with them, I brought some cornbread as a little taste of Southern thanksgiving and everyone loved that, so I bring it every year now! I think it is so fun because everyone has their food that you bring, from chocolate pie to deviled eggs and I am included in that.

On our way to Granny's I always call my Daddy to tell him happy Thanksgiving and I get super duper homesick so it is nice to spend some time with DH's family and feel that love when I am kinda sad.

Last year was the first year we watched the whole thing. And it was also the same time I felt Henry kick in my belly for the first time.
