What do YOU think is a large family?
I would love to have 3 or 4 kids and all my friends are saying stuff like "are you crazy?", "wow, you want such a large family!", ect. I guess I've always pictured 4 or more as a large family but 3 kids? I dunno, I guess we all think differently

I don't consider 3 kids to be large, I think that's average. For me PERSONALLY, I think 2 is small, 3 is average, and 4 or more is large. But I think it all depends on what you feel you can handle you know? I know some women who are like "No more than 2! I couldn't do it!" so to them that's a big family you know?

I don't even think 4 is large... I would say more like 5 or more is large. And I grew up with only one sibling, so it's not like I'm biased. I DEFINTELY don't think 3 is large. I mean come on, 2 is typical, it's only one more!

I think 4 would start to be large to me. One kid is small, 2 is average, 3 is getting kind of big to me because it seems like a lot of work and money down the road.

I always thought 5 or more was large and seen 3 as average. I want 4 kids but I do tend to get the large family comments so I guess 4 would be large as well.

IMO, 2 is average but I think it's small; 3 is better; and 4 would be ideal for me. Of course this is prior to having any, but I've always wanted 3 kids and Scott as well, and 4 is just "one more" so it's not a big deal in my mind. 5 or more kids is "large" to me.
Plus half of our family (cousins) aren't having any and I feel like we need to pick up the slack

Anything over 4 is large to me. I think the "average" for the US is still 3 kids though. (well 2.5 but how the heck do you have .5 kids? )

Ya I agree... I think 4 or more is large. So 2 is small, 3 is average, and 4 or more is large.
With that said.. nothing wrong with a large family!!! haha

I would consider 4+ to be large.
DH is 1 of 4 and I am 1 of 2.
I don't plan on having more than 4 that's for sure!

I think 1 child is "small", 2-3 kids is "medium" and 4+ kids is "large" If God were to grand me the patience and finances for 4 children, I would LOVE to have a large family....but I think we'll probably end up with 2, maybe 3

4+ is a large family for me...basically any family big enough to require a minivan or SUV with a 3rd row, lol, in order to fit in one car.

Thanks ladies, it's cool to know what you all think about family sizes.
I always thought 2.5 kids meant you have 2 kids here and you're pregnant with another. Maybe I'm wrong LoL.

3 kids isnt "large" to me at all...honestly I would consider anything over 4 large because its so common now (in my opinion) to have 4 children.
By the way, I always thought the .5 meant you were pregnant too Lisa!
