So I always watch my CF to see where I'm at in my cycle. I check 3 times a day, once in the morning, once and lunch, and once in the evening. I also only check internally up by my cervix. Well Monday and Tuesday at the lunch time check I noticed real goopy, stretchy egg white which I found crazy because it's so early in my cycle. I usually have it for 5-7 days before ovulating. We did have sex those 2 days but we used a condom and lots of lube. Do you think the lube had anything to do with making it like this? The day before I noticed the crazy eggwhite CF we had unprotected sex, thanks to my wonderful husband who didn't stop himself, but I still felt kinda safe because I still thought I was 2 weeks away from ovulating as I normally ovulate on CD 22 or close to it. So then my stupid DH says "well maybe it's my cum still sitting up there and it got trapped in fluid" LoL! Today it feels kinda sticky/creamy by my cervix so I don't know if just ovulated very early or it's the lube. Any ideas?!

If you had sex the night before then that's most likely what it is, seminal fluid looks very much like EWCM.

If you check CF as a way to detect ovulation, you should check out BOM(Billings Ovulation Method), it's really great and easy once you get the hang of it. Though if you use that, condoms, lube and checking internally effects CF and makes it harder to detect ovulation correctly.

The only lube I have had experience with is Preseed, and it never seemed to affect my CM very much by the next day. When it dried up, it dried up regardless of the lube/semen. Then again, I always checked in the evening, so it was usually a good 24 hrs after we DTD.

One thing I will say - only check once per day at the same time. It's easier & better.

We have to use lube because I have a problem... and it has never confused me or affected my cm. Also his fluid will not be stretchy and have a distinct odor to it unlike real ewcm.

I check my cm when I go to the bathroom. 2 or more of the same type a day gets recorded, but if I have ewcm even once it gets recorded.

Yeah it was REALLY stretchy and almost tanish/opaque streaked like there was spotting in it but that could have been from rougher sex I checked my CF when I was TTC Rylie and I remember what semen and CF were like mixed and it wasn't this goopy and stretchy... it looked like straight up egg whites. Toward the end of today my CF is creamy and my cervix if soft... I have no idea what's going on. I'm just going to keep watching it I suppose
