Is there really a law against VBA2c's in the state of Oregon, or is it that "he" doesnt want to preform one. Im picking your brains, as well as posting this over on the actual VBAC forum. Thanks gals

There must not be a law against it. I took my birth class in Gresham, Oregon at the Mt Hood Medical Center (Legacy Health). The instructor briefly broached the subject and she said it all depends on the OB. Some will refuse to do it because there is a slightly increased risk of uterine rupture during labor and many do not want the litigation risk. But she also said there are some doctors out there that are willing to let you give it a go.
ETA: I just reread your title. I'm sure if anything is different after having two cesareans... I believe she was referring to after one.

My OB said I could have one when I was pregnant with Morgan, which is why I moved to his office - but this time around hes saying its a law in Oregon.

I just googled and didn't find anything about a statewide ban but its possible the hospital he delivers at has banned it.
Our hospital her allowed them till early 2000's and now they wont allow them at all.

Yea, it is possible it is a hospital rule. The class I took was just this past July, so I know there can't be an actual law against it. I thought it was the OB that makes that call and not the hospital, but I could be very wrong.

Some places its the hospital. I was ticked about our hospital because I dont want another c-section but my mom(who works there) said some hospitals follow some code (I forget the name) and they come and inspect the hospital and tell them what to do and what not to and I guess they said no vbac's and this is a national code/group thingy so some hospitals don't allow and if thats the only hospital that OB's at then the ob also wont allow them

after 15 hours of being 4cm, I had to have a c-section. Ian's shoulders were so wide he wouldn't descend into the canal. He was 9lbs 13oz. The 2nd one is because I chickened out of a VBAC.
I checked with the VBAC board, and another lady contacted another site, and a retired midwife is going to help me find a midwife whom will take me. She said even a birthing center would be more likely to take me than an OB - so here goes nothing, right?
