And we are all set for the water birth at home! Im truly really happy and at ease with this decision. She answered all of my background questions - like how many births have you delivered, what would you do in case of emergency, what meds are on hand for after delivery, or in emergencies - stuff like that. She said the rupture rate for a HBAC is 3%, so really low. Their is more of a risk of doing a repeat CS than a home birth. Ill be working with 2 midwifes and a pedi, so a team of 3 for me and baby. Like I said, Im just really at ease, excited, and I LOVE my midwife (I need a blinkie LOL) So sweet, very crunchy, just how I wanted her hugged me upon arrival and when saying our goodbyes. So, all thats left is to let baby bake!!

That is great! I hope everything goes smoothly and you get the birth you want. I know I would love to try in the future for a VBAC but I'm not brave enough to do it at home.

That's so wonderful!!! I'm so glad everything is working out for you! I'm still hopeful I'll finally get my homebirth next time.

that's amazing beth! sounds like u found some great caregivers
i'm so excited for your home waterbirth!

i will mention, my SIL had two midwives, one of which was a student and i think all the repeated checking of her cervix, membranes, baby etc did not help her labour progress at all. if both midwives are fullout midwives then i'm guessing they wont repeat the checks but alternate instead which would be a lot less stressful.

Yeah I think all the attending are pro midwifes. I will ask to be checked once in a while but not every hour, I wanna be able to just be in tune wiht my body and zone out without interruptions
