Cloth diapering girls!!!

When your babies out grow the diaper do you keep them or sell them??? Maybe some people think it is gross, but I wold love to buy some diapers that are used, or maybe even some covers!!!! I want mostly second hand stuff for my baby, but would prefer cloth diapers from people I knew!!! So, if any of you girls have some diapers you want to sell just let me know. I have decided that buying cloth diapers is how I am going to pass the time until I finally get pregnant!!!! Anyways, I hope it is ok that I posted this here!!!

I've bought a couple of used diapers....but NOTHING compares to fluffy new diapers!! So soft & cuddly. I know eventually they will all look like the used diapers.....but the pockets I've bought new are just so soft!!! I'm almost finished building my stash and it is really sad...I was really enjoying shopping for diapers, hehe.

There are TONS of great sales going on right now too!

So, I was talking to DH and he thinks it's kind gross to use used cloth diaper......Im not really sure what to think now. Is it gross????? He asked me if I would wear used underwear and whn I said no, he said thats my point....??? I think it is different, I don't know why I think that, i just do. What do you think????

Well I guess its who you ask huh? about 90% of mine are used, as long as they are stripeed and washsed well before the first use its fine.

ask your hubby if he would ever go to the hospital and use their sheets on the bed/towels/wash cloths.....because not only were those dirty also but very gross and even the most contagious stuff was on those at one time.

My point is you can wash cloth for it to be not gross

I'm actually about ready to sell off most of london's newborn stash since he is now growing into mediums! (he is about 16 lbs already!) When I do I will post it here on grads first for you ladies

Angela, Kyle didn't really have anything to say about that(he realized you were right).....LOL He did say however(keep in mind his sick sense of humor) That you need to mail him a pair of your underwear, he will poop in them and mail them back to you....he wants to know if you would wear them....LOL Oh my husband the kidder....LOL He makes me laugh daily!!! I told him you probably would....LOL

Please please let me know when you are going to sell them....I want them all!!!

i wanna buy used diapers too, especially the newborn ones since they dont wear them for that long. i need every size though, i got nuthin! if there are any morgs doesnt want i will buy the rest!

i just figure that used is a) better for the environment and b) probably very absorbant after having been washed so much. plus new ones are so darn expensive! i would like to know the sites with sales too! my SIL got bebebums diapers for $13CDN each which i thought was pretty good.

I don't think it is gross at all....the diapers I have gotten are in GREAT condition, just the insides aren't as soft & fuzzy as a brand new, never washed diaper.

I'm using prefolds & covers for the newborn stage and I bought my prefolds all new...which sucks because I have to prep them, I would have much rather bought them used!!! I guess it can be gross...but give a new diaper a few uses and I bet he can't tell the difference between a used diaper and a new one. Washing them in hot water sterilizes them. Plus it is a cheap way to get a wide variety of diapers so you know what works for you. I've got prefolds & Thirstie Duos, some Bummi's covers, some polar fleece covers, a blueberry cover, 2 Bum Genius all in ones, 2 Bum Genius Flip, 4 Fuzzi Bunz, 2 Happy Heiney, 6 Baby Kangas (my fav), even some Nubunz & a few WAHM diapers (that are SO adorable!!). A cloth diapering/Natural Parenting store opened just 2 blocks from my apartment and I did some SERIOUS damage there...it is harder to say no to yourself when you have it in your hands.....I seriously only need 2 dozen premium prefolds and I am done!!!! I should have been done weeks ago!!!

www.nickisdiapers.com hasn't announced her sale yet...but this is my favorite online shop....she doesn't always have the sales that other people have but she has a REALLY nice variety of diapers and free shipping on lots of things - and a VERY good selection of prefolds.

Don't forget that you can always go for wipes, wetbags, pail liners, inserts, wool covers....there is lots & lots to obsess over, hehe.

I have bought and sold plenty of used diapers, they outgrown the smaller sizes so quickly it ends up being WAY more economical to buy used in those sizes. I just make sure and do a thorough, hot wash before they go on baby girl and we've never had any issues.
