Since coming off the pill in May i have had maybe two periods. (in June and then in September)
Even before i went on the pill when i was like 16 my periods where few and far between but i managed to fall prego with Mia when i was on the pill.

I never had any bleeding after she was born apart from straight after.
I was put back on the pill when Mia was 6 months old.

I went to the drs today so maybe see if she could help me.

Anyway, After telling her the above, She is testing me for PCOS.
I feel so blessed that i have my daughter but at the same time im a little... numb for a better word. I dont know how i should feel. I know nothing about PCSO. I've heard a couple of ladies on here talk about it etc.

I have to have blood work done on the 2nd and i am then going for an U/S on the 9th.

From what i've read on the internet it sounds like me, but then i think if i have it how can i already of had a baby without realising i've had it?

it does sound like you might have PCOS. It is possible to ovulate on your own when you have PCOS, especially when on birth control or just coming off. There are treatments to help you ovulate and they can make a world of difference. I hope you get some answers and a treatment plan soon hon!

I have PCOS as well. I thought I was going to have a terrible time getting pregnant. I hope you are able to able to find a way to help you. They put me on the pill to help control my PCOS and I got pregnant while on the pill.

A lot of PCOSers get pregnant without assistance, and never know they have it according to my RE. I hope that means that despite the potential pcos, you can get pregnant again easily. If you want any diet or exercise tips to manage the pcos, let me know

It must be shocking when you first learn something like that, but I hope you are able to get pregnant with minimal assistance. We have several btdt moms here in the same boat, and btdt mommy advice always makes things a little easier! ((((hugs))))

I would love any help i can get, Thanks hun!

And thanks ladies, Its just come as a huge surprise, espeically if they do find something and its gone unditected. Espeically with the risks carrying a child while its undetected aswell x

My younger sister told everyone at our toddler group on Thursday that i could be pregnant because id not had a period in so long, and i am dreading the topic coming up at our next play group. I shall not be mentioning it unless they do.

Hey girl - like many other girls have shared...I too have PCOS...I pretty much have PCOS primarily due to my insuline resistance problems....this imbalance in insulin causes an imbalance in the hormones that promote ovulation so I have the "ring of pearls" of follicles on my ovaries that is classic in PCOS due to the fact that I ovulate and thus have a period so irregularly. I too also had a baby without knowing that I had PCOS (I found out I was pregnant with DS when I went in to start blood work for why I wasn't having a regular period )...so it was a shock to me also when I found out I had it while TTC number 2. For me, going on metformin helped me become pregnant and that was all it took, since my main problem was the sugars. I wasn't told I would have any additional risks of "carrying" my second so it may depend on the why you have PCOS or whats wrong in there but I'm pretty sure on the whole you can carry another baby just fine. So its probably a blessing they found this out and it'll help you get pregnant more quickly! Good luck!

Ugh to PCOS! But as said before, a lot of women with PCOS still become pregnant on their own and otherwise there are options to try. I hope you get some answers soon and a treatment plan worked out if needed.
