Sorry I haven't been on much, but Xander loves to be held or interacted with or fed pretty much all day and it severely limits my internet time. Luckily he's started giving me some stretches of time every day where he's content to do his own thing or nap, which has been nice. Not that I don't love holding my baby, but we all need a few minutes to ourselves every day!  Anyway, Xander is now 6 weeks old! Wow! He STILL has thrush, but it's almost gone. It must be a crazy resistant strain of yeast or something... We've been using gentian violet for over 3 weeks, which worries me. My doctor said to keep using it since it's getting rid of it (just slowly), but I've heard of it causing cancer in large amounts and what-not, so I hate to use it for so long... I'm also cleaning/boiling everyting, cleaning my breasts with water/vinegar after feedings, taking probiotics, and using Nystatin cream on my nipples. It's just annoying that this isn't going away! Hopefully soon... I'm sick of my baby having a purple mouth! Otherwise things are going great!
Anyway, here are some pictures! I took these myself, so I'm pretty impressed.

OMG he is too flippin cute! I LOVE his crazy hair! What an expressive face he has. It is great to hear from you  I can't believe he is already 6 weeks! I hope the thrush clears up, and Nice photog skills

Ah! LOVE the hair! He is such a cutie! Sorry about the thrush, that is crazy it has lasted so long. I dont have any experience with it, but I can empathize with you.

A friends mom made it for us. She actually made a ton of the same hat in different sizes so he always has one!

He doesn't seem to be bothered by it now, though there was a time when I think it did... Me, on the other hand. Ouch! It's not as bad now, but man is it ever itchy! Forget wearing a bra... For a time it felt like little pieces of glass were being stabbed into my nipples whenever he'd nurse, it was horrible. Now it's just itchy... It's no wonder so many people quit breastfeeding. If I weren't so stubborn and cheap I probably would have after all of this! But I really want him to have breastmilk and I love our time together, so I'd just bite my lip until I eventually went numb. I know that sounds bad, but it was worth it...
