I didn't even know he had it

We went for our 4 month check up today (Went very well... 15lbs, 26 inches... 60th and 85th percentiles respectively -- We are starting solids 3x per day now because as she stated he is "over ready". He's been showing us the signs for about a month now that he is ready.). When I told her that he just got over his 3rd and worst cold yet, she looked in his ears and they are both red and filled with fluid :-( I didn't even realize it. He has been really cranky the last 3 days -- has not been sleeping well at night at ALL (up every hour) and now I understand why.

DH and I both had major ear problems as a kid -- so we didn't expect J.J not to have them, it just comes as a surprise to us that it is starting so soon.

J.J was not even pulling at his ear or anything so...I just had no idea. I feel horrible. He's on amoxicillin now. (Bubble gum medicine! I tried it -- tastes like i remember, just more tangy.)

When Kieran got a double ear infection in October we didn't know either, it was odd. We took her in from puking alot and found out about that.

I hope he gets better fast
