I dont think you can beat a good old bargin aswell. I love places with a sale on, Espeically places that normally sell expensive things and they are like half price.

*stands up* My name is Samantha and I too am a shopoholic.

I buy anything and everything. I just enjoy shopping. Dont care who for. lol

We just got the Chicco DJ walker -- JJ's feet JUST hit the ground. So i put shoes on him and he takes off. He has long legs though and a short torso. JJ is 26 inches. There are some walkers that sit lower then others -- i read the reviews on the one we got him and it seemed it was one of the shorter walkers.

I too have a shopping problem that has gotten WORSE since being p/g. Although most of it is window shopping, I'm always seeing something that I want to buy.

Sam, I have the same walker! I don't get it, I am frustrated. I mean, I get that Jack does have a long torso like his dad, but the ridiculous mommy in me is all bent out of shape for giving my son short legs I mean, how can he be 27 inches yet not be able to reach the ground?? I feel like the toy is defective, and now I am wondering how long other babies legs are.

Mamas out there, go measure your baby's legs for me please!

I'm 5ft 10 and and have to wear petite jeans because my legs are very short and all my height is in my torso.

I have a BAD shopping addiction too when it comes to baby stuff. And cloth diapers. *shakes head* I am very lucky that DH isn't fully aware of how many you *need* vs how many are just "extra & cute" to have. I am done buying though, I swear.

Wow. You guys are crazy! I am so frugal lately its sick. I sat down last night and made an Excel spreadsheet of everything we will need for baby (plus a few luxuries). I then researched everything online to find the lowest prices and figured out that we can get everything (except a crib, that will come later) for about $900. I also didn't include cloth diapers in there because i'm not sure what brand/kind/etc that I'm going to start off with.

I can feel it coming on. We are basically going into super saving mode once Christmas is over so we can get all the essentials for the baby. I am hoping our parents chip in but seriously eating out is over, entertainment is over, we are even canceling the cable.

I have to add in that I got everything we needed for Alice in the beginning for super cheap because I shopped consignment and thrift stores. So I got things like: graco stroller, bumbo, bassinet, bouncer, graco pack & play, nice cherry finish crib, crib set (incl. 2 lamps, 2 quilts, 2 sheet sets, stuffed animal, bassinet set, shelves and more), clothes (newborn thru 6 mo), hats and lots more. And I only paid about $400 for all of this. It took more time, because I had to wait until the stores had everything I needed/wanted, but throughout the PG, I was done on a budget!

But I am a shopaholic too... just for the thrisft stores!!!

I've never been a huge shopper but I loooove shopping for Matthew. I always find toys that look so cool or clothes that would look so cute. I try to do mostly consignment on the clothes, but now I'm having to buy some stuff new b/c it's harder to find good stuff as he's getting bigger.
I am so lucky, both my mom and MIL are letting me buy gifts for Matthew to be from them. They said I knew better what he already had and what he would like. So that meant more shopping for me using someone else's money. Woot!
Kohls is about to suck me in again...they sent me a $10 gift card.

I love, love, love to shop too but I control myself...somewhat. Amara currently has outfits to fit her until she's 3 years old...but most were on sale.

I remember when you went to NYC (?) Mari and bought tons of stuff!

UPDATE: Jack's legs are not short. He is 27.5 inches long, and his legs are 9.5 inches long. I tried putting him in again, and the balls of his feet do touch, but he keeps his legs bent while in it and just sits. I dunno why he doesn't stretch his legs out like he does when he stands.

Can you believe I was wigging out over this?

Oh, and I want a pair of $300 boots. Blame that blog the Pioneer Woman. She has a pair and made me want them.

Do you all think I should buy Dustin a PS3 for Christmas? He hardly plays video games, and is a wonderful helpful hubby and dad. He kind of deserves it and really wants one, but I don't want it to distract him from school/work/time with us. Whatdoyathink?

In regards to the PS3- I think that if he really wants one and you can afford it, go for it! I bet that he will have fun with it, but he seems sensible enough to not spend TOO much time on it. Plus that thing is awesome! It plays those Blue-Ray discs and the games look so awesome on it!
