Yes more! haha. I need some help.

Money isn't really an issue, and rear facing longevity isn't either. I'm stumped on what to buy next. Dustin is out growing his infant carrier and Curtis is around 35lbs (I need to double check that, but the last time he was weighed that's what he was at)

Should I get another convertible? Or the next step up for Curtis and put Dustin in Curtis' convertible?

And what is a good carseat? I'd like five point harness (obviously) smaller (it needs to fit in our chevy Lumina) and tangle free straps oh and that easy shoulder height adjuster thingy (so you don't have to rethread the straps).

I know this is a huge repeat of the current posts... but I'm so undecided and I really don't want to make the wrong decision!

I would move curtis and give dustin his seat. We have the Graco Natalius for Seamus, its FF only but the 5pt harness goes to 65lbs (Seamus is 42.5lbs right now), it has an adjustable head rest too which is nice for shorter and taller kids. It also turns into a high back booster from 65lbs to 100lbs or just a bottom booster (3-in-1 carseat basically). We love it and I know a couple ladies in Seamus pr got it for their kiddo's too.
We have a Toyota Camry which is smaller then the Lumina (We had a 1995 lumina sedan before dh got hit) and it fits well in there with Kierans infant seat and seems like it will be good with a convertible in there too (oppisite sides of the car)

heres the info on it

Oh I like that!! It doesn't seem bulky and I like that the 5pt harness goes until 65lbs, and that the carseat works up till 100lbs.

I think that's what I'm leaning towards doing. Passing Curtis' seat to Dustin. I LOVE Curtis' seat so I don't mind using it. Although I HATE how the straps get SO tangled. I think James wants to get rid of it haha, but if that were to happen I guess we'd just get a new convertible and the next step up for Curtis.

Thanks for your help I do like that one. I'm going to see if it's available in Canada.

I would get him his own seat.

I like the Recaro Signo.. I have one in Pink for my daughter and we just bought a blue one for my son.. This will be the only seat I need to buy for my kids, it goes up to 70 lbs.. My daughter is 2 years old and is only 25 lbs, so she has a LONG time before she'll out grow it..

Recaro is the best car seat maker in the Industry.. They've been around for over 100 years but they've only been making Convertible car seats for a few years. So not to many people are aware of Recaro unless your into modifying cars, etc.. The Recaro is a big seat, but it fits my 2000 Honda Civic Coupe just fine. What's also good about this seat is that Adriana has not figured out how to get out of it.. It's not easy to do.

Here's a few videos you should check out.

This is a review of the seat

YouTube - RECARO Signo Carseat Review

This is a Recaro employee talking about the Recaro company at a auto show.. This will show you the types of seats Recaro makes..

YouTube - 2007 SEMA Show - Recaro Booth

Oh, I forgot, Recaro makes car seats for Nascar.. If they make a seat for Nascar drivers, they know a thing or two about safety..

haha, don't know if I can comment since I haven't actually used mine yet but we got a Recaro Young Sport for when Jax grows out of his infant seat. The Recaros have gotten really good safety reviews over here in Germany (it is a German company) and a few friends say their kids love it. It is a bigger seat, but really sturdy. I had a go at putting it in our little 2 door Honda Civic coupe because we were worried it wouldn't fit but it does just fine. It goes from 18-80 lbs. Has a 5 point harness, and later converts to a booster seat with the car's seat belt.

I have the Recaro Signo too and I think it's an excellent seat. Amara hasn't used it here yet but I used it when we were in the US on vacation.

If you can continue to work with the strap issue then I would switch Dustin to that and get a seat for Curtis. Otherwise, I get a convertible for Dustin and the next seat up for Curtis.

Harrison has a Britax Frontier - I would serioulsy consider it for Curtis...it has high five point harness limits - like 80 pounds. I LOVE it and it fits good in our Jeep Cherokee!!

I love the idea of a high five point harness limit. I can also buy that from a store fairly close to me.

Hmm... lots of options and lots of great advice you ladies have given me. I'm going to look into the Recaro as well, not sure if that's available around me.
