It is strange. They are more sensitive, yet also somewhat dead feeling.

I was nursing Jack the other day and felt a tickle. I look down and he was giving me a psyco purple nurple! Who's with me, or am I the only one with zombie nipples?

Ummm I dont believe so. I think my nipps are pretty much the same they have always been, just bigger. Although for the first 2 months she was a nipple shield cuz we had lots of latching issues! So weve only been on my actual nipps for a month..but I dont see any difference. I didnt even have pain when I actually breastfeed without the nipple shields..so I dont know..

Yup they are like on a switch now. When I'm feeding I don't feel much of anything but they are MUCH more sensitive when I'm turned on. It's weird.

Mine are different then what they used to be. I weaned when Rylie was 5 months and things are starting to look normal now. I can still barely squeeze colostrum/BM out

In a breast feeding book I read it showed the nipple way in the back of baby's mouth. I was all how is this possible? So I pulled on my nipple and sure enough it is sooooo disturbingly stretchy. I am scared for life by it and I will never pull on my nipple again lol!!!

You're not alone Michelle. That's how mine were--dead but sensitive, an odd combination right?

It gets better when they start nursing less.

note to self: never stretch nipple out to see how far it can go, LOL

TMI ALERT!

I had to update - I now know why people get into nipple twisting. I finally let myself be open to a little nipple action during, well, you know, and WOWZA! Verrry niiiice! But DH had to twist the shizzah out of them. Because they are dead, yet sensitive.

omg, mine are stretchy too! I think I know now why it doesn't hurt when Matthew yanks around (it used to).

TMI note to self: never try to stretch your nipple when it's been 3 hours since you nursed the baby.
