This year I am hosting dinners at my house on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. For about a week I have been trying to come up with some good meals to make, when tonight I finally came up with an idea. Why not lamb!? You know, because of the whole lamb of God thing Jesus has going on.

?

Personally, I love it. But I'm dark and twisty like that.

Yes, and you have to use a TON of marinade/seasoning or it will taste really bland and bleh.

LOL! I don't see why you can't have lamb.

Do you guys use ham there for Christmas or is it mainly turkey?

Ham (pork, turkey, beef, etc.) is a main "meat" in Barbados at Christmastime. And turkey, chicken or pork roasts are the secondary meats.

No not in bad taste. Funny. I don't eat lamb, it just makes me feel bad haha Except this one time I was at my boyfriend's house for Easter and his mom made lamb and I couldn't just be like "Well I'll take your son but keep your frickin lamb, that's disgusting" so I had a piece.

ANYWAY, we usually do ham on Christmas

I like lamb! In fact I was thinking of cooking lamb. I don't think anyone will make the connection.

Ham is what we usually have, but I feel bad for the pig. I have already had so much bacon this year

A fish eating veggie is coming so I am trying to come up with a festive way to prepare cod.

lamb on Easter may be too much! lol

I love lamb, but I can't cook it. It gets dried out so easily.

We always have ham....which are my initials (well, now HAMS), so DH makes a joke about how I am eating myself.

Haha Heather, you're a HAM lol.

I like Lamb chops but never made them. I think I like Venison better b/c to me its more tender and less dry. But lamb will work just fine. Most people, even those on a diet, will eat lamb.

We always do lasagna for Christmas. Well, except for that one year when MIL offered to "do" Christmas dinner and we all ended up at the Chinese buffet...

I am making cod and some meat dish Chritsmas Eve

Christmas Day I was going to make some other meat.

I am doing a roast for one of them. Not sure if I should do the roast with the cod on Christmas eve or what. Then I just have the other night. I LOVE lasagna. Mmm pot roast is good too. And poor little piggy is always delicious.
